Breakfast with the Pack II

Alexander called a maid to put his bedroom back together before leaving for the dining hall. He would eat breakfast with the rest of the pack as well.

He would not allow Amari to ignore him. Plus, it would be a nice change of pace to mingle with his pack members. Alexander had been distracted and completely absorbed with Amari ever since he abducted her from the Black Crescent Pack.

He entered the dining room and was surprised to see no one eating beside Amari. They all had a scared look on their faces as if they'd just seen a ghost. The heavy scent of blood flooded Alexander's nostrils. He slowly entered the dining room and was shocked to see one of the she-wolves, Zoe, clutching her thigh with a fork sticking out of it.

"What happened? Did anyone call the pack doctor?"

"She stabbed Zoe!" some yelled, causing Alexander's eyes to widen.

"Is this true, Amari?" he questioned.

"Yep," Amari replied without hesitation. She continued to eat her pancakes and drained her glass of orange juice

    Beta James could feel the tension in the conference room, and he was fearful the two Alphas would come to blows over Amari. Beta James would love to have guards posted in the room, but due to the delicate nature of the messy mate situation, he thought it would be best for privacy until everything was sorted out. Honestly, he was shocked the Alphas hadn't attacked each other yet. They were both attempting to assert dominance over each other by staring each other in the eyes, hoping the other would break and look away. Beta James knew Alpha Clark was fighting a losing battle because Alexander would never step down from a challenge. Beta James prayed that Alexander kept his wits about him, because if not? Then they might have another dead Alpha on their hands. Alpha Clark glared at Alexander as he held his prized possession in his lap.
