Chapter 3

My whole body went rigid; even my toes curled uncontrollably.

Natalie was right beside us. If she turned her head right now, she would see that I was not only awake, but also flushed and trembling under Scott's touch.

My heart raced wildly, panic and confusion tangled together.

And yet, I felt excited. Terribly, dangerously excited.

Every nerve in my body turned sensitive. Heat spread through me, as if I were burning from the inside out.

I had no idea how long passed before Natalie finally let out a tired murmur.

"Babe... I can't anymore. Let's continue tomorrow..."

She rolled onto her side and fell asleep almost instantly. Soon, her breathing became slow and steady.

I quietly let out a breath of relief. It was finally over.

And strangely, a hint of disappointment followed.

Why did he stop so soon?

Before I could recover, Scott suddenly leaned over and pressed down on top of me.

"She's out. Now, it's your turn."

What?

Was he insane?

Was he seriously going to do this with me while Natalie slept right next to us?

My heart nearly burst from my chest. I pushed against him immediately, my palms meeting the hard wall of his chest.

His muscles were solid and warm. He was overwhelmingly masculine.

But this crossed every line.

If Natalie ever found out I had betrayed her, our friendship would be over forever.

"G-Get off," I whispered urgently.

Scott showed no hesitation. Instead, he lowered his voice beside my ear.

"If you wake her up, that's not my problem. I'll just say you came onto me."

Before I could react, he pulled me closer and kissed me.

He knew I wouldn't dare struggle too much and risk waking Natalie, which only made him bolder.

His kiss deepened, overwhelming and possessive, stealing the air from my lungs.

With Natalie sleeping inches away, the forbidden tension spread through me instantly.

My body reacted before my mind could catch up.

I glanced nervously toward Natalie. She must have been exhausted, because she didn't move at all.

Relief washed through me, but my reason hadn't completely disappeared.

"No, you need to stop. If Natalie finds out, we're finished! She loves you so much. She wouldn't survive this."

I tried to make Scott come to his senses.

But he was already too far gone. His rough hands moved again, confident and experienced.

He knew exactly what he was doing. Every touch pulled me deeper, weakening my resistance bit by bit.

My lips kept saying no, yet my body betrayed me, leaning closer, responding without permission.

I even arched slightly, craving more before I realized what I was doing.

Shame flooded me. I couldn't believe I was reacting to Scott like this.

But the tension, the danger, and the closeness of it all dragged me further under.

My thoughts spun. What was I supposed to do?

Then he tried to pull my legs apart.

Panic snapped me back to reality, and I instinctively pressed them together.

"N-No..."

I didn't dare fight too hard, afraid of making noise. To him, my resistance only seemed playful. He lightly smacked my hip, amused.

"Still pretending?" he murmured. "Relax. I'll take care of you."

"That's not..." My voice weakened, my body already losing strength.

He was over six feet tall, broad and powerful, while I felt small and defenseless beneath him.

Deep down, I realized I might not escape tonight.

Neither his persistence nor my own trembling body seemed willing to stop.

A dangerous thought surfaced again.

Natalie had joked about sharing him with me. Wasn't this exactly what she meant?

The idea dissolved the last of my resistance. My hands softened, no longer pushing him away.

Seeing that, Scott grew even more excited. He tore the already soaked T-back I was wearing right off my body.

I knew something irreversible was about to happen.

Heat rushed through my veins, overwhelming reason as excitement swallowed every remaining trace of restraint.
