"A Hundred and fifty years ago, at a bar in a hotel. Do you remember the lady you made out with? The lady you told all your problems to while you were drunk and wasted?" Grace asked.
"What?" Maxmillian exclaimed, looking unsure of what Grace said. "That was a hundred and fifty years ago. How are you both still alive?" he asked curiously. "Alexander here is the product of that night," Grace said, pointing at Alexander, who kept glaring at Maxmillian. "Good day, Father," Alexander greeted. His voice was thick and deep. "You look so confused. I thought you'd be happy to see me. Mum was right after all," Alexander added. "I need you both to leave my house immediately," Maxmillian commanded. "That is not going to happen," Grace objected. "Alexander is your blood, and you will, and must treat him like one," Grace declared. "I don't want to disrespect you…" "Or what?" Grace barked. "I have taken care of your son for the past hundred and fifty years, and now he's able to see his father, you want us to go back? That is not happening, Mr. Maxmillian, Knight," Grace threatened, the anger in her tone was alarming and scary. "You made out with me, turned me into a monster, just like you, and now your son… Is no different. Deal with it," Grace concluded. "What we did was a mistake, a mistake that is entirely your fault," Maxmillian said. "Were you expecting me to abort my child?" Grace asked. "What do you want from me? How do you eveb expect me to believe he is mine?" Maxmillian asked. Just immediately, Alexander's eyes went red. Just like that of Maxmillian whenever he is angry. His fangs were long and sharp. "Does that explain enough?" Grace asked him. After a lengthy talk, Maxmillian kept pacing from one corner of his sitting room to another. His guests were seated on his couch, watching him gallivanting. There was silence among the three of them as they kept on gazing at each other remotely. "I will pay you off," Maxmillian offered, breaking the silence. "Any amount you want. Just name your price," he pleaded. "We don't want your money," Alexander replied. "Well, I'm sorry, I can't be a father to you, Alexander. You never planned. I had no idea that I had a child. I can't even call you son," Maxmillian defended. His heart began beating so fast that both Grace and Alexander could hear his heartbeat. Maxmillian became bewildered. "I will see what I can do. But I'm not promising anything. Any decisions I made should be followed," Maxmillian knight warned. "Fine," he agreed. "You can stay for a while," Maxmillian said, "let me go get things straight with Amelia, I will be right back." "What? Are you scared we are going to eat her up if we stay here with you?" Grace teased. She had a weird smile on her face which made Maxmillian begin to wonder if Grace was jealous that he had found another woman. "Only the thought of doing that would make me tear you apart into different pieces," Maxmillian threatened. Maxmillian was speechless. He had no words to explain to Amelia that all of this had happened in the past. He was filled with random thoughts as he walked to his bedroom, wondering what Amelia was going to do. Amelia looked really upset, folding her clothes angrily into her box. With tears rolling down her chin uncontrollably, she stopped for a moment and began gallivanting from one corner of the bedroom to another. Immediately she heard the sound of the door opening, and she knew immediately that it was Mason. "Why?" She asked, looking profusely, yelling at the top of her voice "Is she the reason you have refused to make love to me?" Amelia asked. "What are you doing?" Maxmillian asked the moment he sighted Amelia's bag on the bed. "I'm leaving you, Max. I can't do this anymore," Amelia cried out. "You cheated on me," she yelled. "What? No," Maximilian replied defensively. "I would never do such a thing, I swear with my life." "Then what happened downstairs?" She yelled at him. "It's a long story," Maximilian replied with his face bent. He couldn't look back at Amelia. "I want to hear it," Amelia said. "I had no idea I had a son. It was just a one-night stand with a random lady years ago, I promise. I don't even know how she found me," Maxmillian said. Amelia stared at him with disgust. "I thought you meant it when you said I was the only woman in your life, Maxmillian. I thought you told me you would love only me. Everything you said was a fallacy, a total lie. How can I ever trust you again?" Amelia asked. She got more upset and decided to leave the room; she couldn't bear the stigma of shame that Maxmillian had brought upon her. He tried to hold her hand, but she was too fast to let go. "It's not like you would let me leave if I wanted to. I'm going out to get some air Max, I can't stay here with you," Amelia said. As soon as Amelia walked out of the bedroom, Maxmillian broke down in tears. He couldn't tell Amelia that whatever happened between him and Grace was a hundred and fifty years ago. He couldn't bring himself to tell Amelia that he was a shape-shifting Alpha werewolf and that he had lived for two hundred years. Nothing was making sense to him at that point. All Maxmillian wanted at that moment was to be with Amelia. At about 7 pm, Maxmillian had set out to go look for Amelia since she hadn't returned to the house after leaving so furiously. He had hoped that nothing bad had happened to her. But just as he was about to leave, Grace interrupted him. "Are you going out?" Grace asked. She had a kitchen glove on. "I made dinner. Please tell me you are hungry," Grace added. "I'm not. I am going to search for Amelia," Maxmillian said. His voice became deep all of a sudden. "Oh! She went on a stroll with Alexander," Grace reported. Just immediately, Maxmillian looked more furious after hearing such news. "Tell me you are joking," Maxmillian commanded. "I wish I was," Grace replied. Maxmillian's heart began beating fast; he was scared that Amelia would be in danger since he had no idea how dangerous Alexander might be. He rushed out immediately, looking restless, using every scent he could perceive to track Amelia down.It took Maxmillian about an hour to figure out Amelia's location. He found both Amelia and his son, Alexander, at a restaurant close to the park, and just immediately rushed into the restaurant to get her."What are you doing here?" Maxmillian asked her."Oh, hi father. Amelia and I were just catching on," Alexander answered.Maxmillian became more upset, and he dragged Alexander by his shirt collar."Never in your life refer to me as Father, ever again" Maxmillian warned, his voice deep and clear."But he is your son," Amelia interrupted. "Stay out of this," Maxmillian said, confronting Amelia. He immediately let go of Alexander's shirt, he took Amelia by her wrist, dragging her out of the restaurant against her will, leaving Alexander there alone. "Stop pushing me Max, you are hurting my wrist," Amelia pleaded. As they got to the park, Maxmillian released Amelia's hand from his grip. He stared at her miserably, totally dumbfounded. "Why?" Maxmillian asked, "I know we have our iss
The atmosphere became intense. Maxmillian flared angrily. "You both can't stay here" he barked. He's voice tumbled wide."You can't throw us out, Maxmillian Knight. We are your famil. Your blood", Grace Monroe said. "Oh, I am not throwing you out completely. You can't just stay here with I and Amelia. I have provided an apartment for you and your son. You can have it all to yourself for as long as you want." Maxmillian said."Your son? Maxmillian, I need to remind you that Alexander is OUR son. And there is nothing wrong with a son knowing where his father is staying..." "You have overstayed your welcome Grace. I don't see anything wrong with what you did. I will take full responsibility for you and Alexander. But until then, I need you both to leave. Amelia is not comfortable with you both in this house". Maxmillian concluded,"You are throwing your family out of your house because of a stranger?" Grace Monroe asked."Stranger!!!" Amelia yelled curiously."A complete human?" Grac
Maxmillian stared at Grace Monroe from beside the door where he stood. "What do you mean? I have never hurt Amelia, and i would never hurt her", Maxmillian confessed. "Are you sure? Because that wasn't what Alexander told me?" Grace added."Alexander doesn't know anything about Amelia and I""But he knows enough to see that you starve her sexually. After all, she's human, isn't she? And you don't want your cute little human to turn into a monster, like you did to me", Grace yelled frustratingly."Whatever happened to you was entirely your fault" Maxmillian said."I didn't get myself pregnant. You were the one who couldn't control that thing down there....""You drugged me" Maxmillian yelled."So I'm guessing you are not strong enough then." She smirked "just as I thought."What have you come here to do?" Maxmillian asked. "I have given you enough, Grace. I need you and your son out of my life." "Our SON Maxmillian. Alexander belongs to us both", Grace added."Not anymore, you watch
"Go to the car and wait for me Amelia", Maxmillian commanded."I'm sorry" Amelia cried out."Just do as I have said" Maxmillian ordered.Just as Amelia left the roof, Maxmillian and Alexander got into a fierce battle, which made both of them bleed, until Grace came to separate them."What is wrong with you both?" Grace yelled. "Do you want to kill my son over a mere stranger?" "You both are strangers. You have come to ruin my life. The two of you should go back where you came from. You are not welcome here, Maxmillian yelled." "You have no right to tell us what to do, where to go and definitely not who to kiss, because I enjoyed my lips going into Amelia's", Alexander added.Maxmillian became more furious, he tried to hit Alexander again, but Grace stood immediately in front of her son. "Touch him one more time and you will feel my wrath", Grace Monroe warned. Her eyes were fierce and scary. She was able to control her emotions just like Maxmillian. "From my blood you both are m
"Really?" Amelia asked "Of course. I don't want to hide anything from you, Amelia," Maxmillian confessed."Okay. I'm listening." Amelia said softly, sitting at the edge of the bed, while patiently waiting for Maxmillian explanation.Maxmillian grabbed a chair that was situated in the corner of his room. He pulled the chair in front of Amelia. Stared at her for some minutes, and cleared his throat. All of this time he wasted, he was busy thinking of lies to come up with, to tell Amelia, since he wasn't ready to let Amelia know who he was. "I'm sorry I haven't been completely honest with you, Amelia. I know there are a lot of questions you wish to ask and dozens of answers you seek." Maxmillian started."Exactly. You haven't completely explained to me what's going on between you, Grace, and Alexander, and somehow I get mixed up in your drama. I feel I'm the center of all this trauma. One minute you are agreeing that they are your family , and the next minute, you are saying you don't
The evening was calm and quiet. At about 10 pm, Maxmillian and Amelia sat in the living room watching movies while stuffing food in their mouths. Suddenly, there was a sound of broken glass coming from the wine shelf. Maxmillian hurried to check what it was, only to find Alexander opening a bottle of wine and pouring himself a glass."Oops… My bad," Alexander said just the very moment he saw Maxmillian."What are you doing here?" Maxmillian asked, looking furious."Calm down, old man. Today is the third day. I didn't get feedback concerning my offer," Alexander stated."What useless offer? I can't let you stay here," Maxmillian added."If that's the case, then I can help you tell your woman what manner of beast you are," Alexander said."Who are you talking to baby?" Amelia asked, her voice echoing from the living room where she sat patiently waiting for Maxmillian to return to her. There was no reply. Maxmillian was dumbfounded. He didn't have the right words to explain to Amelia wha
Amelia was shocked. Still in the dining room making breakfast. She looked at Grace, wondering what Grace would want to talk to her about."Common Amelia, there's no need to be scared. My mother doesn't bite," Alexander said, smiling.Grace laughed hard at Alexander's statement."Of course, I won't bite her. At least not yet, and for the sake of my son," Grace added."I don't think I will have that chance to speak with you....""Oh, you will baby. You had better make that chance for our conversation to be held, even though it means you rescheduling, because if I don't get to speak with you today, hell will let loose. And we don't want that, do we?" Grace asked.Amelia stared at Maxmillian. Expecting him to say something. "Whatever conversation you want to have with her should be held in this house," Maxmillian knight ordered."Of course, Maxmillian. I wouldn't take your lovely woman to a place you wouldn't get to watch over her," Grace added.A few minutes later, they all began having
Maxmillian and Amelia decided to spend the rest of the day hidden in the room. They stay behind closed doors for hours, gossiping and having a good time. Amelia had her head on Maxmillian's chest, while they both lay on the bed. She told Maxmillian everything she discussed with Grace Monroe, including her response to her. "I'm proud of you. I'm proud you stood up to her. She would have taken advantage of your calmness." Maxmillian complimented "I didn't think you could pull it off, for some moments I was scared she would hurt you". He added"Hmm, although she sounded confident. Maybe it was because she has a child for you....""I don't consider him my child. He's a grown man, old enough to cater for himself and start his own family. I have no idea why he's back anyway," Maxmillian interrupted."I still don't understand why you won't touch me, Max," Amelia cried in a low tone. "Maybe if I have a child for you too, I can be more confident like Grace. I have no stand, nothing to fight h
