I reject you

Natalia's POV

I felt Aaron's tears on my shoulder, and I could almost hear my heart breaking. I had known him since I was born, and I had not seen him cry. Aaron does not cry. This must had really gotten to him for him to cry, and in my presence. I knew that he would be embarrassed after now.

I pulled away after a while, and I shyly went back to my bed. I could not deny his scent that lingered on me though, and I seemed to like it.

"How did you become the gamma then?" I asked, before it would turn awkward between us.

"It was still all an act to cover his deeds. He wanted people to see that he was actually good to me. Elder Reuben and I had planned this for years."

"I guess he thought you would not remember." I said, and Aaron nodded.

"I guess that was his biggest mistake, as I remember everything as clear as day."

I nodded to myself. "What about your sister? Did you hear of her in the end?"

He shook his head. "Laura died that day. I didn't see her, but I felt the exact moment she died
