FAZER LOGINKyren’s Pov
“Why do you look like you are about to kill?” Dominic muttered, leaning against the door with his hands in his pockets. I glared at his reflection through the mirror angry at the way he looked put together while I stood here struggling to fucking wear a damn cufflink. Whoever invented these things needed to be hung, because why would someone think that these little contraptions should make such a big deal in a man’s attire? I stifled a growl, holding myself back from ripping off the million-dollar suit I had ordered. Tonight, was already starting off on a wrong foot and I could feel the threads of anger surging through me. Not only had Noah flaunted every direct order that I had given him, but he had acted like we were long-lost friends. Now thinking about it, I should have put up a fight, maybe commanded the council of elders to send in someone else. But even as the thought crossed my mind, I knew that it wouldn’t suffice. If he was working with rogues and dealing in illegal things I needed to be on the ground, needed to be the one to see it firsthand. “You know the world won’t end if you decide not to wear the cufflinks,” Dominic muttered, reminding me of his presence. “The fucking media will be there and the last time we had taken your advice there was a whole segment on their show dedicated to analysing the things that I did and how unregaled I dressed to functions” I hissed. He sniggered, “That was two years ago, and well…” he paused, his eyes meeting mine. “Fine, I will help, but you better make sure that you compensate me greatly,” I rolled my eyes at his antics, I could tolerate his words, mainly because Dominic wasn’t just my right-hand man, he was my best friend. “What is that?” I asked, pointing to the file he had dropped on the table. “The team brought back something on Noah, his wife, apparently the bastard has been married for two years now,” he huffed. Two years? That sounded… why the hell did I care if he was married? For all I know, she might just be as dangerous as he is. “Let me see…” “You don’t have the time, the party is in less than an hour and we are already behind time,” I huffed. Noah was really pushing it, the press, the party and then the fucking speech? “Let’s get this over with, the faster we do this, the earlier I can get home,” I hissed. Dominic shook his head, “You make it sound like it is a torture chamber you are heading to,” I cocked my eyebrows, “Isn’t it?” The drive was quiet, mainly because my mind was still stuck on the fact that Noah was a married man, who would be so desperate to stay with someone as thieving and horrible as him. The sound of cheers and bright light flickering snapped me back to reality. “We are here,” Dominic muttered, his hand slapping my shoulder. Fucking bastard, the public light has never bothered him. Noah stood in front with a fucking bright smile on his face, I couldn’t help but imagine what it would feel like to punch those teeth out. The thought brought a wide smile to my face. “Careful now, I can hear your murderous thoughts,” Dominic teased. “If I need to survive this, I am going to have to sink into those comforting thoughts,” I growled. “Alpha King Kyren, welcome to the Silver Fang pack,” he greeted, his hands stretched out for a handshake. “I know the last time we met was at the council meeting about two years ago, you were…” Does he ever shut up? How proud is he of his fucking voice? Because in my ears they sounded like nails scratching on a damn chalkboard. “My wife had made sure she planned this just as I had ordered,” he said in a proud tone, his hands pointing out to the decorations. And he is a conceited asshole. “Erm,” Dominic coughed, his subtle way of telling me I needed to speak rather than look around the room with a bored look on my face. Just as I was about to comment on the display, my eyes landed on the most porcelain skin I have ever seen. But that wasn’t what caught my attention, it was the way the dress stuck to her, the slit made my imaginations run wild. She was ethereal. “Allow me to introduce you to my lovely wife, Azelea…” Wife? She couldn’t be the one married to this crook? “Your highness, welcome to our pack, I am sorry for my tardiness, I had to…” “Thank you for taking your time to do this… this is a fantastic job that you have done,” He frowned, he fucking frowned because I had complimented his wife. Somehow a dark shady part of me liked it. And the way she blushed, I loved it even more. “Would you like to give a speech now? the people have been waiting to hear from you,” noah said, his tone matching the displeasure on his face. No. “Maybe later, I would like to hear more about the things that you have done,” I said to his wife. If I was going to endure this, I needed to find something that would keep my mind off reaching out and clawing out his throat. She smiled, an ethereal look that had me mesmerised, she looked like the moon goddess, her voice soft like a damn siren. I could be trapped in her web, I wouldn’t care. The music started, just as a few dignitaries graced the dance floor, Dominic was somewhere in the crowd, obviously being the social butterfly. I shouldn’t do this. But the tug that I felt at the back of my mind couldn’t stop me. “Would you join me on the dancefloor?” Her eyes flickered towards her husband, I held back from growling at him. But just as I thought she wouldn’t, something flashed through her eyes, a defiance, the look of revenge you would only see on a scorned woman. I was intrigued. Her gloved hand touched mine, her dazzling smile blinding, “With pleasure your highness.”ONE YEAR LATER Azelea’s Pov It has been one year, one full year of nothing but happiness. I didn’t have to look behind me, didn’t have to think about when the next pain was going to come. Kane was dead.Jasmine? Well, the loss of her mate had sent her into insanity. Last I heard she had been taken by some notorious rogue king whom Kane had killed his mate. Her fate was unsure but she got what she deserved. And Noah?Kyren said he had him killed, but I didn’t miss the way he would sneak out late in the night, and when he returned, he would return smelling of horror. “What has your brow furrowed?” Kyren asked, his hand grabbing my waist as he pulled me into his body. It didn’t take a minute, all that I felt was warmth and I melted into his touch, enjoying the way it felt to have him here. “Nothing, just watching our little monsters creating havoc,” I said. He laughed, his hand t
Author’s Pov Kyren had used the knowledge of his last visit to locate the office. The last time he had been here, Noah had been eager to show off everything that he had. Delan had been true to his words and plan, his men only attacked the guards that lunged at them, it was hard, but Kyren could see the minimal damage that was done to the people and their properties. In his records, this was about to be the most consequential war he had ever embarked on. Kyren stormed into Noah’s office, his eyes wide as he saw Declan, standing by the table, sorting through files with urgency in his eyes. “Is this what you have always wanted? Was this the price?” he asked, the sound startling Declan who had no idea that he had company. “This isn’t what it looks like,” Declan said, his voice soft as he stared at his brother. Kyren hummed, “Really? Because from where I stand, it surely looks like you are trying to get away with so

They were doing this. Her eyes filled with worry as she looked at the path that led to the house, “The guards, how are we going to get them to leave? How are we…”She had questions, a dozen of them as she stared at him, Hudson smiled, “Don’t worry, I have it all planned out, all I have to know is that you are safe,” he said. “Walk behind me,” he muttered. When they made it to the front door, their eyes were fixed on the guards, who stared at them
Kyren’s Pov“They are on the move,” Declan said the minute he found me. “My thought is they are about to reach out to Alpha Barnett,” he said.I turned to Dominic. One thing was certain: if they reached out to Alpha Barnett, it was all going to be in ruin. They knew that, and so did fucking i.Declan smiled, “Don’t look so worried, they won’t get to him in time, not when he is about to fucking run,” he said.I narrowed my eyes, “If you have something to say, say it now,” I hissed.“Don’t be in a rush brother, Barnett isn’t in his pack, he is in mine, unfortunately my prisoner,” he said.“When were you going to tell me this?” I asked, staring at my brother who looked smug as he watched the anger surge through me.“When you told me about Project H,” he said.I opened my mouth to talk, but we were interrupted by the sound of Dominic’s phone ringing. Author’s Pov Noah stared at Kane, he could see the brooding look on his face, the silence was loud, he understood he was still thinking about something. “Tell me, if what alpha Barnett said is true, then why would you want a man like that here?” he asked, speaking up after a minute of silence. Noah sighed, of course this was what was on his mind, he had assumed he would say I sooner. “What is that saying that we usually use?” he said, tapping his jaw as though he was thinking about what he was about to say. “The only way to be a step ahead is by keeping your enemies closer,” he said. Kane rolled his eyes, “But bringing in a man like Declan is the worst thing that you can imagine. That is like letting a freaking lion loose in a ranch,” he grumbled. Noah laughed, “What? Scared of a man like him?” he asked. Kane growled, his eyes darkening as he glared at him, “Scared of Declan? You fucking
Kyren’s Pov Declan had resources, that was a shocker, he had houses that bordered close enough to pack houses that had people living in them without arousing suspicions of what was going on in there. “I need to get a message across, I need to find a way to let him know that we are here,” Dominic said as we settled on the lounge chair, looking at the direction of the pack, I could see the pack house from my view, I couldn’t help but imagine what was going on behind those walls. “We will, but now, we only have to observe,” I said. It was hard, I wanted to get out of here faster than I had arrived, I was far away from Azelea, and that was slightly pissing me off the more. I wanted to be where she was. I wanted to hold her, touch her. Dominic turned his attention to me, “You know after this, you have to focus on your family now, you have to start thinking about kids,” he muttered. Kids.I have bee
