Chapter 22

The yatch is empty save for the few men handling the rig. The whole place is sparse and luxurious and I can't help beaming at Malcolm every time I see something beautiful. Which means I smile at him all the time.

We are above deck and the sails are up, billowing in the wind as we set a smooth glide forward. Gentle waves beat against the hull, the fresh air sending locks of my hair into my face. I smile wide, a light feeling in my chest.

Awareness sizzles down my spine and I know Malcolm has just walked in. He doesn't approach me. I turn to see he's stood on the open patio, observing me. There's a possessive glint in his eyes.

I smile and wave him over. "Come on. You're just in time for the sunset."
