As I watched the king approach my mother, I couldn't help but shiver from the cold. It was clear that she wasn't comfortable with his actions, but he seemed completely unfazed. It didn't matter to him if she kept her distance; all he cared about was getting what he wanted.

Meanwhile, my father was desperately trying to break free from the king's men. I could see the desperation in his eyes as he fought to protect my mother from the danger the king posed.

All I wanted was to intervene and put a stop to their actions. I wished I had the courage to beg them to spare my family from this torment, but fear held me back.

I knew that if I remained weak, I wouldn't be able to save my parents. The realization brought tears to my eyes, knowing that I wouldn't be able to fulfill the promise I had made to them.

I made a promise to protect them, but it's so embarrassing because I can't even move my legs right now due to the overwhelming fear. I feel so weak and lost, not knowing what to do.
