He stood over the dead woman, the memories rushing back into him so fast he had to sit down to catch a breath.

Nothing was making sense anymore. His head hurt so bad as the flashes got worse. This time, he let them take him.

He slammed the hoe down and the wood split clean in half. He started humming an old song he learnt from his father. His ears pricked up as he heard footsteps particular to Noelle, the love of his life.

He let his lips lift in a smile as he straightened, turning around to face her. "I am quite afraid of whoever you are thinking of while doing that." She said, brows arched.

He laughed, giving her a smile. "It's no one, trust me." She smiled that soft smile of hers, the one that only he knew. "You sure? You seemed so concentrated."
