"Why… are you looking at me like that?" I asked, my voice a bit shaken, like the words were vibrating in my mouth.

He stood silent, then moved slowly toward me, closing the distance between us. Now we were standing so close to each other, only separated by our clothes. I couldn’t help but clench my hands tight, holding onto my dress for support.

He leaned closer to me, our faces almost touching.

My lips parted slightly on their own. As if expecting.
