For a moment, I wanted to allow it. I had the intense desire to become his, to be marked by him. But I quickly had to come to my senses and pushed him away with all force.

I wanted that, but not in this way.

“Relax,” a small smile touched his lips, “I will not mark you forcefully. That would be the equivalent of rape, and I am not a rapist.”

A small sense of relief filled me after his words. As much as I loved his presence, I had somewhere to be, and he was in my way.

“I have to go,” I quickly said as I turned to leave.

But he grabbed my arm, pulling me back.

“Where are you going to?” he asked.

“To... to... erm. To the restroom,” I quickly blurted. Telling him the truth would mean him either trying to stop me or following me. I didn’t want any of that.

He stared at me skeptically for a moment before finally releasing my hand.

“I was already headed to the restroom. We could go together.”

My eyes widened. “No. No. I need privacy.”

“There’s nothing to hide from me, little witch,”
