“…you didn’t have to come.” I said while I held the front door against Kasper, he was in black jeans and a blue sleeve, and a black sneakers. He looked a bit nervous with those tiny beads of perspiration forming against his forehead.
“I had to, your mom invited me, and I wanted to make a good first impression on her.” He tried to smile, his lips were quivering, I folded my arms and watched him.
“Are you sure you’ll be fine?”
He cleared his throat. “I can manage.” He took in a deep breath, and let it out slowly. “That kinda helped.” He chuckled and nodded at me.
I moved away so he could get into the house, and he walked in. “This is my first time in the Alpha’s mansion or getting this close to Ocean.” I heard him mumble while I led him to the dining area, and he followed closely.
“This is Kasper.” I introduced him to everyone when I faced them. Mom stopped up from her seat and went to hug him, her hand patted his back sweetly.
“You are always welcome here, Kasper.” She muttered and moved back to her seat.
“I know, Kasper. He’s a good kid.” Alpha West muttered and smiled at him which Kasper returned.
“Thank you for inviting, Alpha and Ma…” He lowered his head respectfully.
“Have a seat.” Mom pointed to a seat that was in front of her, and I took the empty seat in front of Ocean, who remained quiet, and ate from his meal.
“Don’t you have anything to say about him?” Alpha West asked, “Ocean, I’m talking to you.”
He shrugged. “I’ve nothing to say,” He brought his head back to his food.
I picked up my fork and started to nibble on my food. I didn't have any appetite for it, but I just had to be here.
“… hope you don’t mind helping Eris with schoolwork, I don’t want her to be behind in class or won’t graduate with the others.”
“Mom!” I dropped my fork and gave her a side-eye.
“I’m trying to help.”
“I will help her with everything that she needs, it won’t be a problem.” Kasper said genuinely, with a small smile. “If she needs me for anything, I will always be there to help.” He added, and that made Ocean scoff.
“That’s so nice of you, Kasper.”
Mom was approving of him already, he was getting to her with those charming smiles and innocent eyes, it got to me at some point.
“I’m done.” Ocean pushed his chair backward, grabbed his plate, and headed out of the dining room to the kitchen.
“Can you get me some sal—“ he was already gone, he turned to me. “Eris, can you get me some salt from the kitchen?” Alpha West asked, I sighed, I didn’t want to do this but I didn’t want to seem disobedient right now.
“I’ll be back.”
I stood up, and ambled out to the kitchen. He was setting the plate in the sink, when I got in.
“Did you follow me down here?” He wasn’t staring at me.
I rolled my eyes at him. “Came to get some salt.”
He hummed, and moved away from the sink. I could sense him behind me, while I reached out to get the salt from the cabinet, I stretched a little bit, his hand shot out over mine, and grabbed the salt before I could.
I spun around quickly, and he was staring down at me, his body inches away from mine. He held the salt above my reach and lowered his head to my face.
“What are you doing?” His eyes were fixed on mine, unyielding.
“I should be asking you that.”
“I mean Kasper.” His eyes went down to my lips, and back to my eyes again, I leaned against the wall of the cabinet, and his eyes moved down to my chest, and the skirt that I wore, that had both of my legs exposed. He touched them faintly with his hand, not rushing, just there.
“What do you mean?” I kept my gaze on his face.
“You know what I mean, Iris. You won’t be able to win against me.” His body was against mine, and I could feel his groin touching me.
“Get off me.” I gritted out.
“Or what?” He teased, and his hand moved into my skirt.
“I don’t like games, and if I do play games. You know I always win.”
“You won’t win this time.”
“I will…” He smirked and pressed himself closer to me against the wall. “Do you want to scream? You will only get in trouble, your mate is out there, waiting for you.” He said in a mocking tone.
“But you are right here.”
“You think this is a game?”
“Isn’t it?”
His hand left my leg and reached out to my chin, he lifted it with a finger and moved it upward to my lower lip. “How dare you kiss him in front of me?”
At this moment, I cursed the mate bond, the feeling that was filling my lower stomach. I endured it, I had been enduring a lot of things before I met him, so I was good with enduring pains or whatever so ever.
His thumb rubbed against my lower lip.
“I will do more with him.”
His jaw clenched at my words. “Don’t let him touch you, Iris.”
“I will make him fuck me…” I whispered into his ears, and the look in his eyes turned dark. I thought he would hit me, but he didn’t, he just stared at me.
“No, you won’t.”
“What makes you so sure?”
“You don’t like people touching you. You’re a scared little kitten.”
I wanted to speak but didn’t know what to say to him. I started to push him away from me but he wouldn't budge.
That was part of the reason I hated him.
“I…” I swallowed and forced the words out of my throat. “I, Eris Abbot, reject you, Ocean West, as my mate.”
“Reject me,” I muttered.
He stared at me like I’ve said the dumbest thing in the world, he pulled away, and placed the salt in my hand.
“You don’t tell me what to do.” He stormed out of the kitchen and the rest of the night, I never got to see him.
