Chapter 94

It was evening and the house was bustling more than earlier.

I hadn't left the room since the incidence and hadn't seen Ares either since then but I presumed more guests were arriving from the loud chatter going on outside.

I didn't know how long I planned to remain camped out in the room but I had exhausted my energy for human -or wolf- interaction for the day.

Scrolling aimlessly through my phone, a soft knock on the door had me looking up.

Ares would never knock.

I immediately became alert and asked in an stern voice, “yes?”

The door was pushed open and pretty much the last person I expected to see walked through the doors.

“Can I come in?” Galia asked.

Her tone was still snippy and curt.

“Aren't you already in?” I asked and turned back to my phone.

From my peripheral vision, I could see her lifting her eyes upward, an action she did whenever she was in a shit position and without being told, I knew she wasn't here on her own will.
