Chapter 50: The annual ball
The day they’ve been both dreading was finally here.
It was the night of the annual ball.
Blaze eyed himself in the mirror as he tried to tuck away the hair that kept falling onto his forehead.
Eventually, he used some gel to somehow make it look decent, decent enough where he didn’t feel the need to run his fingers through it again in hopes of getting a better result.
If Lilith hadn’t helped him choose his clothes, his outfit would have been a mess just like his hair was.
He wasn’t motivated at all into putting any effort for tonight. He actually wasn’t even looking forward to it.
Every second that ticked by, the ball seemed less and less appealing to him.
If it wasn’t for the fact that his parents had ordered him to attend it, he might just not have gone at all.
He took a step back, his eyes trailing over his reflection in the mirror.
