Elora’s POV

The meeting didn’t go as I thought it would. This was my first time attending the council's meeting, and I was expecting something a lot more... dignified.

I was expecting the four Alphas to be sitting on their seats, showcasing their glory and splendor.

Instead, they were bickering.

Well, except for Lloyd.

I thought the Alphas would act all high and mighty, like they couldn't step on the solid floor.

Those were the stories my Dad told me about them. That they were sc*m bags who treated the other wolves like they were insignificant beings.

But he said something different about our Alpha.

He promised me to give my life for him, to any course and at any cost.

Back then I thought he was talking about the former Alpha—Lloyd's Father.

But after everything that had happened so far, I got to realize that he was talking about none other than Lloyd.

It was like Dad had predicted most of the things that were happening now.
