SARA'S POV

The car had barely rolled to a stop in front of the pack mansion before someone was already waiting for me.

“Lady Sara,” an Omega maid said, dipping her head. “Alpha Bastien requested your presence at dinner with the family.”

I blinked at her, still feeling the wine in my bones. “The party did a number on me,” I said with a yawn I didn’t bother to hide. “I’m not sure I can stay for dinner. I’ll retire early tonight.”

She didn’t move. Just stood there, hands clasped tight and nervous eyes darting toward the entrance like she was afraid someone might be watching.

When I tried to walk past her, she shifted into my path.

"Do you have a death wish?!"

“My lady… your grandfather said if you tried to excuse yourself, I was to tell you it’s not your choice to make. He said you better show up to dinner and not humiliate him.”

The words hit me like a slap, but not because of what she said. No, it was the way she said it. Like she was repeating it word for word, afraid she’d get in tr

EWAN’S POVThis chapter contains themes of unhealthy familial relationships and incestuous innuendo. Reader discretion is advised.I slipped into class just as the last bell rang, my head pounding from too little sleep and too much thinking. The room buzzed with the leftover chatter of students still high off last night’s drama. I scanned the rows, hoping to slip in unnoticed, but that never really worked for me. My brother was already there, sitting by the window, one hand draped over the empty seat beside him. Waiting. But Eamon was here early too, and he’d saved me a seat on the other side of the room. His hand rested on the backrest, his steel eyes searching for me with a quiet question. I froze. Two seats, two choices. Ronan gave a little half-wave, cool and confident, like he expected me to choose him. Eamon, on the other hand, just offered a soft smile and a nod. That felt safer, less like walking into a trap.I knew what Ronan would believe but it was time I made it clear I re

SPECIAL CHAPTER: SARAH’S POVI woke up with the worst taste in my mouth. My head felt like it had been stuffed with wool, and every time I moved, my stomach churned. I must have thrown up last night. I could still smell it on my skin, sour and sticky. I groaned and rolled onto my back, blinking at the ceiling. For a second, I didn’t know where I was, then it all came rushing back—the party, the fight with Ciara, and Ronan.Ronan. The memory of the night before made my chest flutter, pushing away the shame and nausea for a moment. I touched my lips and smiled. I’d finally done it. I’d found my mate. Not just any mate, but Ronan. The Ronan everyone whispered about in the hallways of Lunaris, the boy whose attention girls fought over, and last night, he was mine. It had been perfect. Better than perfect. I could still feel the heat of his hands on my waist, the way the bond snapped into place between us. The Goddess had finally seen me.I reached for my phone, ready to text him, then sto

CIARA’S POVMorning sunlight crept through the thin curtains, painting stripes on the floor. I was still wrapped in my towel, standing in the cramped bathroom, staring at my reflection. My hair hung limp and tangled, skin blotchy from too little sleep and too much thinking. I pressed my palms to the cold sink, willing myself to feel something other than dread.Behind the closed door, I could hear Pippa moving about quietly. Somewhere deeper in the room, Sarah snored. The sound was almost comforting, but I knew what was waiting for me if I tried to wake her.I glanced down at my ruined pajamas, still crumpled from last night. No way was I leaving them on the floor. I scooped them up, dropped them into the laundry basket by the door, and made sure nothing else was left behind. Even then, I could still smell the sourness from where Sarah had thrown up on me, clinging to my skin no matter how many times I scrubbed.I dried off and got dressed, pulling on my uniform for the day, smoothing

SARAPHINA’S POVThe sky outside my window was turning the color of faded denim. Dawn, just beginning to creep in, found me sitting at the edge of my bed, staring at the half-packed bag by my feet. I'd been awake all night, listening to my heart pound in my ears, but the rest of the dorm had finally come to life, footsteps thudding and doors slamming open and shut. My head throbbed from lack of sleep, but at least it kept my mind too tired to think about Eamon, or Darragh, or what I'd done.I stuffed my last sweater into the bag and zipped it shut. My hands were shaking, but I kept my face blank. The room was thick with tension. My roommates, all three of them, pretended to busy themselves. They weren't fooling anyone. One of them, Tessa, the one with the blonde braid and the loudest voice, looked over her shoulder at the others. She didn't bother lowering her voice. "So what, do you think she'll get a new room or something? Maybe cry to the administration about us bullying her?"The g

CIARA’S POVI stared at Sarah in shock, the phone still pressed to my ear. She was swaying on her feet, barely able to stand upright, and the smell of alcohol was overwhelming even from across the room."You are not the only Luna with a mate around here," she slurred, pointing a wobbly finger at me. "They say a second chance mate is rare. Even rarer than a fated bond and I got that, Ciara." Her voice was bitter and mocking. "How does that fucking feel?"I opened my mouth to respond, to tell Darragh that maybe I should call him back so I could deal with this disaster, but Sarah suddenly lurched forward and vomited all over me.The warm, acidic mess splashed across my pajamas and I recoiled in disgust. "Sarah! What the hell!"She wiped her mouth with the back of her hand, looking completely unbothered by what she'd just done. "You're just jealous," she mumbled before collapsing face-first onto my bed."Are you alright?" Darragh's voice came through the phone, concerned and distant."I'l

  • The Alpha's Betrayal: My Second Chance To Defy Fate   HUNDRED SEVEN

CIARA’S POVI don't remember falling asleep. One moment I was staring at my phone, willing Darragh to call back, and the next I was being jolted awake by an incessant ringing sound. My eyes flew open, disoriented and groggy. The room was bathed in the pale light of early morning, and for a second I couldn't figure out where the noise was coming from. Then I realized it was my phone. I fumbled for it on the nightstand, squinting at the screen through bleary eyes. Darragh's name flashed across the display, and relief flooded through me so fast it made me dizzy."Darragh," I said, my voice hoarse with sleep. "Thank Goddess. I was so worried.""I'm sorry I couldn't call you back," he said, and his voice sounded tired. Really tired. "I wasn't with my phone."I sat up properly, running a hand through my tangled hair. Something in his tone made my stomach clench. "Are you okay? You sound...""I'm fine," he said, but I could hear the lie in it. "Well, relatively speaking."I glanced around th
