POV: Selina

"Don't worry, sweetheart. You were just a little tipsy last night. But trust me, we had fun, dear. So much fun," he said nonchalantly, his eyes wandering over my body hungrily.

My heart pounded in my chest as I struggled to process his words.

Fun?

Was that what he called it? My mind raced with doubts and questions, my body trembling with a mix of fear, guilt, and shame.

"No, this can't be happening. I didn't want this. I didn't consent to this," I whispered, my voice breaking with emotion. The man's smile faltered slightly, his expression turning cold and indifferent.

"Come on, sweetheart. Don't be like that. Of course, you consented to this; you even begged for more. You enjoyed it, trust me. Now sign this nondisclosure contract, and we can commence our relationship, and maybe we can go one more round before getting ready for my party," he insisted, moving closer to me with that same predatory glint in his eyes, wanting to seduce me and hopefully get me back to bed again.

I backed away instinctively, my mind reeling with a sense of betrayal and violation. This wasn't how my wedding night was supposed to be. This wasn't the happy ending I had dreamed of.

It’s so funny how all the love and trust I had felt for my husband evaporated like a wisp of smoke. In his absence, I was left vulnerable and exposed. And this stranger, this predator, is making me feel loved and desired—something I have never felt since I lost my mom.

The fact that he is being cocky about it is getting on my last nerve. I still can’t believe that I’d freely given my innocence to a stranger, and I fucking enjoyed it. I clenched my fists, my eyes blazing with a newfound resolve. I may have been naive and trusting, but I refused to let this man take away my dignity and self-respect. With a steely glint in my eyes, I mustered up all the strength and courage within me, and I stared at him furiously, glaring daggers at him.

"Get out. Get out of my sight, you disgusting excuse for a human being," I spat, my voice dripping with contempt and anger. He chuckled at my outburst, pulling me into his arms and crashing his lips on mine, kissing me fiercely.

“I love the fire in you, tiger. You are turning me on with this attitude, and I fucking love it!” he groaned, bucking his hips against mine, groaning at the contact. An involuntary moan escaped my lips, and I brought my hand to cover my mouth, ashamed of my reaction.

“You won’t get away with this, I promise you!

You have no idea who I am and what I can do. You don’t know my husband, Richard Cooper; you have no idea who I am. He is a sentinel, and he will come back for you, and he will make you pay for this!” I threatened him in anger as I ran out of the bathroom before my desires betrayed me in his presence. I could hear his laughter as I left, and I felt humiliated and stupid over and over again.

“I guess you’re too smitten to feel my aura, my love. Or is your wolf too weak to recognize my authority?

If that’s the case, sugar, you have nothing to worry about. I can totally fix that for you. I just have to touch you in all the right places to awaken the sleepy wolf in you,” he let out teasingly, smiling warmly as he walked towards me, looking deliciously tempting. What’s even worse is the purring of my wolf in my head as she felt drawn to him like metal to a magnet.

I practically ran out without checking my outfit to be sure that I looked okay. I ran to our room to tell my husband that I had cheated on him with a stranger. I knew he would forgive me for this mistake; he would understand because he knows I’m not a slut. I’d kept my virginity up till this moment. Why would I want to give it to a stranger and not my husband?

As I tried to locate our room, I realized that I’d left everything in that room. My purse, my phone, and everything I had on me last night were still in his room, including my keycard. I couldn’t go back to that jerk; I couldn’t get back my things, and I couldn’t get into my room. I had to go back home for now until I got everything sorted out.

Oh no!

Today is Saturday!

Richard is probably waiting for me at the Alpha party. I have to attend that party at all costs; our company’s growth is at stake here. Besides, Richard will be flaunting me to his business partners today, introducing me to everyone that matters in the city. I got a cab and went straight home to get ready for the party.

Dad and Aunt Vera burst into a fit of laughter when they spotted me coming in with just a flimsy robe on my body. I ignored them and rushed upstairs to get dressed and attend the party. I tried calling Richard a couple of times before leaving the house, but he wasn’t taking my calls and I knew I wouldn’t be able to call him after I left the house because I’d lost my phone. Or rather, I left it with the jerk.

I recalled that he mentioned that he was given a room in the packhouse because he is of the bloodline of sentinels. So, I decided to go to the packhouse to search for Richard so we could go in together. I was shown to his room by a kind omega, and I knocked on the door, waiting for Richard.

“Hello, Lina, how was your wedding night?” Jackie let out exactly as she opened the door and spotted me dressed for the party.

“Mine was perfect with Richard by my side and so much money to spend, all thanks to my stupid, stupid sister!” she told me, and I nearly passed out in shock. I staggered back, my eyes losing focus as I tried to stay awake and not pass out in their presence. Richard came up behind her, wrapping his hands around her waist and kissing her so passionately, as if his life depended on it.

“R... Rich... Richard...

Why?

H... H... How can you do this to me? I thought you were mine; I thought my mom...”

“Oh, shut the fuck up about your super mom and her delusional words to you before she died. If I have to hear it one more time, I’ll fucking go insane with rage. You let your fantasies about a special man sent by your mom get into your head. I guess I should thank your mom for lying to you and thank you for sharing your dreams with us.” Jackie told me proudly, making it seem like my mom was the cause of my misfortune.

“Yes, daughter. Thanks for sharing your dreams with us. It made it easier to bring Richard into your life. He is a good con artist, isn’t he?” Dad asked proudly, tapping Richard on the shoulder for doing a good job.

“Yes, Lina. Richard is my fiancé and not your special gift from your mom. And now that the company is ours, we can merge our company with his and get to the top together. With our resources, we would be the best team and a power couple. Oh wait, those were your words, right?

Did I just steal your man and your words as well?” she laughed, throwing her hands around his neck and kissing him passionately.

“The house is finally mine, Selina. And I do not want you in my house. Go home, get your things, and get out of my house!” Aunt Vera told me sternly as she placed her hand on my dad’s shoulder, letting me see that she had my father’s support.

“Wait, Mom, before she leaves, I want that necklace she’s wearing,” Jackie let out excitedly, pointing to the diamond necklace that I inherited from my mother. It’s a rare necklace that has an array of colored pear-shaped diamonds, and it’s so fucking expensive. My stepmother has wanted this piece of jewelry and some of my mom's possessions.

But I never let them have it; I guard my mom’s belongings jealously. They are the only things that kept me company all these years and also reminded me of my mother. My hand flew to my neck on instinct, and I tried to protect my necklace. But Aunt Vera reached out to me and pulled me by my hair, holding me down as Jackie took off my necklace and hugged it to her chest, celebrating her victory.

“Is that not the Walkers Necklace that has been missing for over twenty years now?” someone asked from behind us, startling us. I guess she was headed to the party when she spotted the necklace. She alerted some guards, and they came over and viewed the necklace, confirming that it belonged to the Walkers, the Alpha’s family heirloom.

“We caught the thief, and we decided to bring her here as a favor to the Walkers. She brought it here; it was stolen by her and her mother!” Jackie let out proudly and handed the necklace to the guards as a favor to the Walkers. As they stretched out their hands to receive it, she retracted her hands, a mischievous smile playing on her face.

“We would prefer to bring this matter to the Alpha and hand it over to him personally,” she told them, smiling proudly. She was going to use my necklace to get favors from the Alpha, and I couldn’t allow that. I have to stop her; I have to stop them. I need my necklace back.

POV: Selina“Wait, Nicole!” he stopped her before she walked away. I saw that smile on her face, that knowing smirk that shows that she knows exactly what she is doing. I have always felt suspicious of her since this whole thing started. For the life of me, I can’t understand how she suddenly changed and decided to be supportive to Edmond and I. Everyone thinks she has changed, but I can see through her acts, I can see through her.“What is it now, Eddie? You asked me to leave, and I’m just following your instructions. I don’t want any trouble with you and your lover. Just let me go!” she lets out sadly.“Come on, Nikki, don’t be like that. You have to understand that my brother is under a lot of pressure,” Sofia told her, jabbing her playfully.“I’m sorry I yelled at you, Nicole. You have to understand that this is my private room, and I have to warn you to respect my privacy and not cross your boundaries.” Edmond lets out firmly. I almost smiled as I thought that he could see throug

  • The Alpha's Choice    I Feel Disappointed

POV: Edmond“What are you saying, Oppa, are you saying what I’m thinking?” I asked him, staring at the jewellery he’s holding because it looks so much like ours, no fucking difference.“What I’m saying to you idiot is that this jewellery is just an expensive diamond necklace that is just the same colour as the family heirloom. This is not ours, and you couldn’t recognize it!” He yelled at me furiously.“If you can’t recognize the family heirloom, how on earth would you recognize your betrothed when you find her!” he screamed at me, glaring daggers at me.“W... W... What does this mean for us, what does this mean for her?She still has to...”“It simply means that Selina is not a thief and neither is her mom. So she remains my girlfriend!” I let out mockingly, helping her up and kissing her lips in front of everyone, chuckling excitedly as I did. I never knew that the jewellery is not ours. How could I be so stupid?I was panicking for nothing! She is innocent and we can be together fo

  • The Alpha's Choice    She Is Bold And Beautiful

POV: Edmond “Where the hell have you been, Edmond?Did you come up with more lies to tell me?” He sneered at me as soon as I walked into his bedroom. I smiled warmly and walked to him, leaning to kiss his forehead. He groaned in dissatisfaction but couldn’t bear to be angry for long when he was obviously curious about the necklace. “Where is it, and where is the thief?” he asked me, glaring at me. I groaned in frustration, refusing to grace that question with an answer. I walked to the doctor, asking him about Gramps' health, stalling on purpose. When the doctor informed me that Gramps had not slept since he arrived, I asked him to administer a mild sedative to Gramps to make him sleep better. I sat on the bed next to Gramps, distracting him while the doctor used a syringe to add the sedative to the drip he was taking. He looked so frail and weak. Yet my half-brothers were pressing on the issue on the ground, determined to expose me at the detriment of our grandfather's health. “Y

  • The Alpha's Choice    Making A Replica Of The Heirloom

POV: Edmond I got a call from one of the guards at home, and I was so pissed to hear that my grandfather and my brothers are not in the hospital like I instructed. I’d asked them to take him to the hospital because it seems he is close to having a heart attack because of all the news he has received about me today. But I guess they don’t really care about his health; all they want is my company and everything I’ve worked hard to achieve. They are at my packhouse, waiting for me to show up and explain to our grandfather about the necklace that was found with Lina on the night of my party. Someone told me that my half-brother Zach managed to find Selina’s sister, and he brought her and the entire family to my packhouse, including her ex-boyfriend and her stepmother that would do and say anything as long as it hurts Selina and makes her suffer. They are putting in so much effort to destroy my relationship with Selina and take everything from me. They claim they deserve a share of m

  • The Alpha's Choice    Coming Up With A Plan

POV: Edmond“This is bad, Lina! This is really bad!” I told Selina the moment Gramps and my half brothers left. She was in the car sulking when I walked up to her to complain about the new development and Gramps orders.“I have to do something about it, Lina. He must never find out that I found the real heirloom with you “ I told her, holding her hand in desperation as if holding her so tight would make all my problems disappear. It was when she pulled her hand away that I looked up to see that she was looking out the window, refusing to look at me.“What’s wrong, Lina? What did I do?” I asked her, my hands moving to caress her face. She pulled away from me, refusing my touch for the first time since we signed the contract to be together. I didn’t understand what is wrong, I thought she had been threatened by my brother’s in my absence.I picked up my phone ready to dial Zach’s number and give him a piece of my mind. Then I recalled the way she had left the reception hall and I realis

POV: Edmond“You don’t mean that, Gramps! You are just saying that to annoy me,” I said sternly.“You know more than anyone that I don’t joke about issues concerning this family. If she stays, then your brothers stay too!” He told me pointedly, his sharp jawline set to suit his anger. I looked back at him, matching his burning gaze with mine. I wonder if he has suddenly forgotten about all the threats and attempts on my life from Zach.He knows how much I hate Zachary, and he intends to use that against Lina and I. But I’m way ahead of him in this game, I know exactly what he is planning and I intend to outplay him. I feel so pissed off at him for trying to manipulate me. Yet I put aside my disappointment and I tried maintained my composure and tried as much as I can to reason with him. After much argument, when I saw that our argument was not getting the desired effect.
