"Come here Nina." Ezra said to her, and she looked at him in confusion. She was already sitting on a chair with a table in between them. "Come Nina."

She stood up and walked over to him.

"Sit here." He tapped his laps, and she sat on it, feeling a little awkward. He wrapped his hands around her waist. "You were saying something before the attack. What is it?"

Nina tried to recall. She had totally forgetten that she had gotten a little upset. How did he even remember it in a moment like this? "It's nothing really serious. I was just... It was in the moment."

"But you meant what you said. You said you are not afraid of me, this pack treats you like a person. You said you are attached to me, Nina." He looked at her, his eyes piercing and demanding, but she averted her gaze shyly.

"Don't take anything I said seriously. I just felt a little overwhelmed, and it slipped."
