Chapter 5

Noah P.O.V.

This would be my first time being as the Alpha of our pack to visit The Forest Pack. I knew this was a big Pack, 600 men less than we had but still. Alpha Roan had some weird manners but overall, he was nice to other Alpha’s and his family.

At least that was what my mother had told me before we left. Levi, my Beta, was sitting next to me and driving the car to the Pack house on the territory, we have been driving for almost 20 hours straight. Luckily, we could take turns driving so we didn’t arrive all too tired. He parked the car next to a big open space where there were all kinds of tables set up for the dinner.

We received an invitation for a mating search event and because I was curious about this Pack, I went with it. Also, I didn’t find my mate yet, but hated this type of events. But the event gave me an opportunity to find my mate. I’m 26 already and still haven’t found her. I already went to other Packs nearby our own to look for her, but I still haven’t found her.

Sometimes my wolf gets impatient with all of it, sometimes he even gets a little out of control. That’s the whole reason that I had to find my mate, he wants someone by his side. I really didn’t know if I would find her with this event, but because I already search in our community and didn’t find her, I got curious to look in this neighborhood.

Alpha Roan didn’t know I was looking so determent to her, but because he invited everyone around his pack and I didn’t know anyone there was a change that she would be her.

My mother was at home hoping that I would return with a mate, she isn’t completely healthy anymore since my father died. For now, my mom took over the authority, like she always does when I’m away. Everyone in our pack didn’t care and where always very sweet to her.

After my father passed away some years ago, and with the help from my mother and Levi, I took over the hole pack. I got out of the car and walked with Levi by my side to greet everyone.

“Alpha Noah, Beta Levi, welcome to our pack. Please feel free to take a place somewhere at the tables and enjoy the event this weekend. After dinner my Beta Arthur will show you to our guesthouse and your rooms.”

“Thank you Alpha Roan and congratulations with your son Dean and his new mate Brittney.” Also, some information I got past down while coming here, Levi did some researched before coming here. I never had to worry that he or myself didn’t know something about a Pack.

I walked to the tables and took a seat with Levi at the nearest free spot next to the car. If something went wrong, we could grab the car and leave quickly.

Something in my gut didn’t feel good when I was talking to Alpha Roan. He had something dark with him, but I couldn’t put my finger on it. For now, I should let it go and I needed to look around. Maybe she is walking here and I would find her on the spot, my sense of smell is outstanding.

After the dinner Beta Arthur told everyone to follow him to the guesthouse. I knew that Alpha Roan was weird about having their guests in his own house. My mother already told me about everything she knew of the Pack before we came here.

The guesthouse was only 3 minutes from the packhouse away. Everyone went to their cars and got in, Levi and I stepped in the car as well. Everyone needed their cars near when something went wrong or when we wanted to leave earlier. When we were alone in our car, I started talking to him while we followed Arthur to the guesthouse.

“I don’t know any other Alpha’s at this celebration, who are those guys?”

“Well most of them are friends of Alpha Roan and some are neighbors, so that’s why we don’t recognize them. We are the only ones from far away, because we are the largest Pack in the hole Continent. You already know that, Noah.” Levi laughed a little and so did I.

“I know that you are really good with knowing every Alpha that there is right now, tell me.”

“Okay, okay I admit I know their names. There is Alpha Matthew from the Mountain Pack, Alpha Boaz and Luna Katniss with their daughter from the Blue Moon Pack and Alpha Luke from the Red Moon Pack he lost his mate 2 years ago he is now searching for his second mate.”

When we were arriving at the guesthouse, I looked outside my window to look where we would sleep. It was a big grey house with 2 floors. It had a grand wooded door in the middle of the front house, with some big windows around.

The house itself looked really dull, but there where all kinds of flowerbeds and trees around the house that made it more colorful and welcoming.

I walked out of the car with Levi, we were welcomed by a woman at the front door. She bowed to welcome us and introduced herself as Emma the Beta’s wife. She then asked us to follow her, we walked in and I was surprised when I looked around. There was a dark green color on one of the walls and white on the others. The floor was a light brown hardwood floor. When we walked further, I could see a dining room already set for the morning and a living room with 3 big couches, fireplace, some armchairs and a big tv.

We walked up the wooded stairs, everywhere you looked there were paintings on the wall and because of the big windows it looked very bright. You could see that they have cleaned the house before our arrival because it was spot on shining everywhere. You would never expect this bright and colorful house when you were outside.

There was also a particularly smell I couldn’t place. I was faintly but it was there. But not clear enough for me to detect what the scent was. My wolf suddenly started to be a little fidgety.

“Beautiful house Emma.” I looked at her and she smiled. “Thank you, Alpha Noah.”

She let us to the second floor and to the biggest room at the end of the hall, Levi got the room apposite to mine. We thanked Emma again, she bowed and quickly walked away so she could let the other Alpha’s know where they would be sleeping.

“The biggest room for the strongest Alpha here, they are scared of you Noah.” Levi laughed.

“Maybe they are trying to convince you with a business deal?”

I looked at Levi and tried to figure out if we could use some business deal with this Pack, then it hit me.

“I’ll consider a deal for wood. We don’t have enough to keep building houses and cottages for all the new members in our Pack. Maybe we can make a deal that they give us wood and we give them some alliance agreement.”

“You want me to ask Beta Arthur to make an appointment for you with Alpha Roan tomorrow?”

“Yes please, arrange that for me would you.”

Levi nodded as we walked over to check on his room. When we opened the door, we saw it was a big room with a queen-size bed. At the left of the room, you saw 2 windows looking at the parking lot of the house. At the right there was a big wardrobe and a door that led to a bathroom with a shower, toilet and sink. The colors where a little doll compared to the colors in the hallway but still very tastefully decorated.

You could see that this didn’t look like his own room, but it was clean and bright so it was perfect for Levi. He never needed or asked for much, just a place to sleep and shower when we visited another pack. We then walked to my room. The second I walked through the door the scent was clearer. It smelt like roses in full bloom with a mix of fresh gras.
