“Since I sparred with you…” I said, wiping the sweat from my jaw as Damian caught his breath beside me. “It means you’re going to tell your men to protect the area whilst I work in my laboratory, right.”

“Sure.” Damian scoffed, rolling his shoulder. “ I'll even come to supervise.”

“You don’t have to.” I shot him a glare. “Just a few men is more than enough.”

His smirk widened. “Afraid I’ll discover some secret concoction you’re hiding?”

“Afraid you’ll talk too much and distract me,” I muttered, grabbing the shirt I had tossed on the ground earlier. “I’m going to have my bath.” Then I slipped the shirt over my head, and headed toward the main building.
