Chapter 5

Author: Alyssa J
The hall was dead silent.

Only the System’s cold, mechanical voice echoed through the empty room.

[Warning: Alpha Killian's mental state is critically unstable.]

[The Moon Goddess has descended the "Lunar Eclipse Curse."]

[Countdown Update: Time until permanent obliteration - 20 minutes.]

On the screen, the adult Killian was losing his mind.

He slaughtered everyone.

Because of that look of despair in Sofia’s eyes before she died, he remembered something.

But he couldn't catch that shadow.

That vague, bone-deep sense of familiarity tortured him until he wanted to tear his own chest open.

So, he initiated the "Great Purge."

Anyone in the territory with clear eyes, anyone who looked like a "good person," or anyone who tried to show him kindness...

All executed.

He’d rather slaughter three thousand innocents than let a single "counterfeit" escape.

"He's crazy..." I looked at the corpses littering the floor—Dad, Mom, my sisters, my cousins...

Everyone was dead.

I was the only one left.

The world before my eyes began to crumble. The Coronation Hall, the bloodstained throne, Killian’s cooling corpse...Everything shattered like a mirror struck by a heavy hammer, dissolving into countless motes of light. The System’s voice rang out in the void one last time, filled with arrogant charity:[Congratulations on clearing the game. Wish granted: Full Resurrection.][Disconnecting...][Game Over.]Route 66, The RV.A violent jolt.I snapped my eyes open. The sunlight was so bright it made me want to cry.No gloomy werewolf castle, no stench of blood. Just dry, cool air from the AC vents, and the smell of potato chips mixed with leather seats. Before, I would have thought this was heaven. But now, I found it too quiet.Quiet enough... to make me want to spill blood."You awake?"A lazy voice came from beside me.It was Chloe. She was fixing her makeup in a small mirror, her signature blonde hair shining in the sun. Her neck was smooth and flawless, free of the fatal scar from t

I watched the man break down and weep in the empty room. The last shred of pity in my heart evaporated with his tears.I opened the System interface. The [Hourglass of Time Reversal] was completely drained. But I had one last chance. The System prompted: [Consume all remaining soul energy to reconstruct a physical body? Note: This action is irreversible. Failure results in immediate obliteration.]I didn't hesitate."Confirm."Light exploded. In that empty room, before the silver wolf mural.I stepped out of the void.Barefoot, long hair cascading down, wearing a white dress identical to the one that little girl wore years ago.Killian jerked his head up.He didn't dare breathe, didn't dare blink, terrified that this was just another alcohol-induced hallucination.Until I walked up to him, reached out, and gently wiped the tears from his face.My fingertips were warm."Killian, I'm back."In that moment, I heard the heart of the invincible tyrant stop.He grabbed me like a madman, hugg

We watched the grand Luna Coronation Ceremony through the screen.Although there was no wedding, Killian still granted Sofia the highest honor. The Great Hall was illuminated by thousands of white candles—the highest standard of werewolf ritual.Sofia wore a pure white gown. It was the [Saintess Robe] Alice had specifically redeemed with points, radiating an aura of purity and innocence. She was betting everything on this final hand. She was betting that deep down, Killian craved redemption and light.Killian sat on his throne, holding the object of our dreams—the Alpha’s "Token of the Blood Oath."It was a black dagger forged from meteoric iron.As long as Sofia got her hands on it, our whole family would be resurrected.Sofia walked up the steps one by one and knelt at Killian's feet. She looked up, her eyes clear, as if she were the only light in this dark world."Alpha," she whispered softly. "I pledge my eternal loyalty to you."Killian looked down at her.In that moment, I saw an

Six family members entered the werewolf world. This time, everyone walked on eggshells. One slip-up with a lunatic like Killian meant getting torn to shreds.Cousin Alice’s rank was dirt poor. As a [Castle Laundry Maid (Omega)], she never saw the Alpha. Her progress bar only crawled up by 0.1% when she washed his blood-soaked battle robes, thanks to the residual pheromones. My second sister, Sofia, held a Master’s in Psychology. She decided to play with fire. She chose [Alpha’s Exclusive Poison Tester].It was a death sentence waiting to happen, but it was the closest a bottom-feeder could get to Killian. As for Aunt Isabella, she couldn't resist the temptation. She thought Killian needed motherly love. She chose [Personal Maid], attempting to soften the tyrant with gentleness. At first, her progress was indeed the fastest, reaching 25%.But three months later, her icon turned gray. The System didn't even announce it immediately. Before we could recover from the horrific sight of Chloe’s death, the System’s cold, mechanical voice blasted again.[Next Round Countdown: 29:59]We had exactly thirty minutes to select the next batch of family members for the trial. But we still didn't have a clue how to conquer the Alpha. Those blood-red numbers pulsed in mid-air, looking exactly like a countdown to an execution.Uncle David broke. He was a simple, honest accountant in his former life. Now, he rushed the holographic screen like a madman, screaming at the void."What the hell do you want from us?! We’re just ordinary people!""This is murder... you’re livestreaming a massacre! I’m calling the police! I want a lawyer!"The System remained silent. Only the countdown continued its ruthless tick."I quit! Fck this rebirth crap! I want to go home! Let me go back!"David screamed hysterically, turning to run toward the deep mist at the edge of the space. The System finally reacted.[Detected Player David attempting to forc
