Chapter 37 - A war is looming

Gabriella felt awful to see her dearest friend go through this, but there wasn’t much they could do about it. It was the only way they could find out why the wolf king had been attacking his own people. This, however, wasn’t what she wanted for her friend! They were shopping for a dress for a fake wedding when, all the while, Melody could have happily been shopping for her real wedding dress. Gabriella walked over to where Melody was paging through some of the dresses and whispered that she just had to imagine as if she was buying the dress for her wedding with Matthew.

Gabriella didn’t get the laughter she was hoping for, and instead, Melody frowned softly replying that she wasn’t even sure if she wanted to be with Matthew. Their conversation was interrupted by the shrill voice of Melody’s fake future mother-in-law as she swooped through the front door. Melody whipped around and glared at the woman.

“What are YOU doing here?” She sounded as if she was on the verge of growling
