LAZAR

Margaret stood frozen, her eyes darting between me and the needle. She swallowed hard, trying to regain her composure.

“What are you doing here, Margaret?” I repeated the question when I didn't hear any response from her.

"Greetings, Alpha. I... I was sent by Doctor Ezra, Alpha," she said, her voice trembling slightly, though she tried to sound offended. "You know I have a background in medicine. He told me she would become restless because of the drugs and needed a sedative to keep her calm so her body could rest."

I didn't move. My eyes stayed locked on the clear liquid inside that syringe. My wolf was pacing in my head, growling that something was wrong.

"Ezra didn't mention sending anyone." I gave a curt response. “And if he did, he'd have called to let me know.”

"Yeah…. Yeah, he's busy preparing more herbs for her treatment." Margaret snapped.

“He didn't say anything about herbs, Margaret.”

She let out a frustrated huff. "Trust me, Alpha, I only wanted to help. When I

MARGARETIn no time, the car pulled up in Ezra’s place and I got out. I stormed down the hallway, my heels clicking loudly against the floor. My chest was tight with rage. How dare he? How dare Lazar treat me like a common criminal in front of that... that lowly human, that curse?I had it all planned out. The poison in that syringe was supposed to stop Allison’s heart slowly. It would have looked like she just wasn't strong enough to survive her injuries and no one would have suspected. But now, Lazar had the needle. He was sending it to Ezra to be tested, if he hadn't done it already. If Ezra found out what was really in that syringe, I was dead. If Alpha Lazar finds out that I was telling lies about the sedatives, I'll be done for.I hurried to the clinic and burst into Ezra’s private office. He was sitting at his desk, staring at the syringe I had just been forced to hand over to the guards. When he saw me, his face turned red."You woman, are you insane?" Ezra hissed, slamm

  • The Alpha’s Human Property    SHE SHOULD JUST DIE

LAZAR The second my guards told me my mate had left the Pack House, I felt a pit in my stomach. My mate is kind…too kind. She thinks if she shows the Pack love, they will love her back. But I know my people. They are stubborn, and they fear what they don't understand.Even though she'd promised to take care of herself, I knew they'd hurt her. They'll definitely see her as a plague and try to maim her."Follow her now." I ordered my guards. “Keep your distance so she doesn't feel crowded, but do not let her out of your sight.”I tried to get back to work, but I couldn't sit still. I shouldn't have given in to her request of going for a stroll alone, especially as she is human.“I'm sure she'll be fine, Lazar. Don't think too much about it. Since you've sent the guards after her, they'll protect her.” “Fine. The guards will protect her.” I said as I appreciated my wolf's efforts to make me calm. I went back to work. I have lots of paperwork to settle, for my upcoming trip. All of

A FEW MONTHS LATER ALLISON “Can I take a walk around the Pack, please?” I told Lazar as soon as I walked into his study. I was bored. I've tried to read books or at least play games, but it didn't help matters. Plus, I need to get to know the Pack members. “Alone?” His brows raised in question. “Yes.” I answered. “No, Allison, you can't go out alone. You're the Pack's Luna. Do you have any idea what will happen to you?”I stepped closer to him. “Of course not. I'll be fine. And as a matter of fact, not everyone knows about me. I'll be seen like another maid.”“Even though no one knows about your identity, Allison, I can't let you leave, okay? I'll come with you….”“You can't, Lazar. You have work to do. Besides, if I want the Pack to accept me, this is one way to become familiar with them. I can go out, make friends, make….”He glared playfully at me. “You don't give up, do you?”A smile broke out on my face. “No, baby. I don't.” I winked at him.“The guards will come….”“No!!!”

  • The Alpha’s Human Property    I'LL DEAL WITH HER

LAZAR“What the fuck did you just do, Margaret?” I roared in anger as I shoved her off me. “Who are you talking about, baby?” She feigned a look of confusion. “Oh, wait a minute. You mean the fat little human swine I found lurking on your….”Before the last insult could leave her mouth, my hands were around her throat. I didn't squeeze to kill, but to warn. My knuckles were white. “Don't you dare talk shit about my mate. She is your Luna and you must respect her.”“Al... Alpha. You’re… you’re hurting me. Let go.” Her eyes were wide, finally showing a tinge of genuine fear.“The next time you speak a single word against her, I will make sure you regret the day you were born,” I ground out, before finally releasing her. She stumbled back, sucking in ragged gasps of air.“Seriously, Lazar?” she hissed, rubbing her neck. “A human? I thought the pack gossip was a joke! You dare to choose a human swine as your Luna?”I didn't waste my breath on her. Instead, I stalked across the room

ALLISONThe Pack House dining room felt overly large for just the two of us. Alpha Lazar sat across the mahogany table, looking impossibly regal even when merely describing his afternoon. I leaned forward, resting my chin in my hand, admiring the way his dark hair fell just so. How could he be so effortlessly beautiful even without trying?“It was a productive day, Allie,” he summarized, taking a sip of the water. “As usual, the Pack elders were here. They had some issues that needed to be dealt with.”A cold wave of panic washed over me. Issues that needed to be dealt with? Could it possibly be me? My human presence in the Pack House had always felt like a ticking clock, and every meeting made my stomach churn.“What’s on your mind?” He arched one perfect brow, and I exhaled, trying to sound casual.“Were they here because of me?” I asked, dreading the response. He gave me a challenging look. “Do you truly think it was because of you?”I nodded, feeling a fresh surge of panic
