"“It’s beautiful tonight,” Elena murmured, her gaze fixed on the twilight sky, where hues of purple, blue, and hints of orange painted a mesmerizing canvas.

Asher chuckled softly, pulling her closer. “It is, but it’s missing something.”

She turned to him, eyebrows raised. “Oh? And what might that be?”

“Green,” he replied with a grin. “My favorite color—because it’s the color of your eyes.”

Elena laughed, the sound light and melodic. “Smooth, Alpha. Very smooth.”

They lay side by side on the grassy hill, the world around them fading into the background. The gentle rustle of leaves and the distant chirping of crickets were the only sounds accompanying their shared silence.
