Adam seemed to do everything wrong when it came to his mate but I couldn’t fault his results. He had only been trying to win over his human mate for a few weeks and he had already marked her. So why was this so difficult for me? Lizzy seemed happy enough to be in a relationship with me but she seemed nervous about letting me mark her.

Lizzy was tending to her friend, making sure she was comfortable on the bed. Adam was lying on the bed beside his mate and refusing to let go of her hand. Patti was already sleeping and she probably wouldn’t wake up again until the morning, at the earliest. It could be up to a month before her wolf would make herself known but she would start to notice changes in her body a lot sooner than that.
