The morning air was sharp, carrying the sweet taste of wine and wet earth. I had woken up early and prepared myself for the hunting game that was to start any moment.

I adjusted my outfit, the one Dominic had told the maid to prepare; it was sleek, regal and beautiful.

Still admiring, A soft knock on the door pulled me from my thoughts.

“Lena,” Dominic’s voice called through the door.

“Come in!” I replied.

When he stepped inside, I couldn’t help but notice how commanding he looked. His hunting attire was fitted and dark, accentuating his broad shoulders and lean strength. The cloak draped lightly over his back, and the subtle silver embroidery caught the morning light. He looked every bit of the Alpha ready to dominate the hunt.

“Shall we go?” he asked simply, his eyes holding mine.

I stared at him, trying to understand why he would want me to go with him to the field. That was the place of the Luna. The Alpha and the Luna were to stand side by side.

I cleared my throat, hesi

Dominic’s POV I had woken up as early as possible, excited for the annual pack hunting game, something I hadn’t felt in years. Normally, the hunt was routine for me, just another day to prove myself again. But this time… it felt different because Elena was here, my girl was with me to attend and watch me. Elena staying by my side had really helped me and my wolf, we had more strength, and it had become easier to shift unlike before. I dressed up, put on my armor and was pacing in my bedroom, in anticipation of the right time to go to Elena’s room and walk by her side to the hunting field. ‘Let’s go meet her, let’s go meet our mate!’ My wolf Ragner stirred inside me. ‘Shut up! Not yet!’ I said, putting a barricade in my mind between the two of us. Hopefully, it would save me from unnecessary nagging from him for the meantime. As soon as it was time for the ball, I went over to Elena’s room. Gosh! She was so beautiful in the outfit I had sent over to her. She felt surprised to

Alpha Dominic roared, and the sound ripped through the field like lightning, making the crowd panic instantly. The warriors froze mid-movement, and the mothers yanked their children closer. I stood up in shock. I didn’t know what was going on or what triggered him to be this aggressive, but I knew the end result was not going to be of any good. “Alpha Dominic!!” I whispered, my voice caught in my throat. Kai rose to his feet in panic. “L–Lena…” he whispered, his voice barely holding together. Dominic’s wolf growled low and dangerously vibrating through the ground beneath us. It wasn’t the warning kind. It was the 'mine' kind. The territorial kind. The type only an Alpha who felt threatened would ever release. “What is wrong with him?!” Kai hissed, taking another shaky step back. “Kai! Run!” I instructed. The words left my mouth before I even realized I’d said them. And the second the order slipped out— Dominic’s wolf snapped his head toward me with a growl so sharp it

  • The Alpha's Rejected Mate    Chapter 16

“You want me to attend the packs annual hunting game with you?” I asked just to be sure I heard him right. “Yes! I figured that since I am healing faster with your presence, it would be nice to have you make a few memories here before going back to the human world.” He explained. I blinked trying to make sense of whatever he was saying. “Please say yes!” He begged and that Made me only roll my eyes. Well, since I happen to be at the pack this period, I see no reason why I shouldn't attend the haunting game. “OK! I will attend tomorrow!” I said simply. Dominic froze, like he needed a second to process my answer. Then his lips slowly curved into a small smile. “Thank you,” he said with his voice low. But that only earned him a smile from me. “I will have the maids prepare your outfit for the event.” He added And I only replied with a nod. The haunting game isn't just an ordinary game in the pack. Every warrior gathers to haunt meat and the one with the biggest catch gets a r

I stared at the hand he extended toward me and scoffed. "I can walk down myself, there is no need for you to walk me down, I will go myself." I said as I went to remove my jacket tags I had placed by the edge of the bed last night while trying to take care of him. He knew better than to argue; the Dominic I had known—would have grabbed my wrist and forced my hand into his, or at the very least made a sarcastic comment until I gave in. But he didn’t. He took a few step back, and his hands moved slowly into the pockets of his sweatpants. His broad shoulders rose and fell gently as he exhaled. “Alright,” he said simply. He took his move and we walked towards the dinning table, while I followed closely from behind. There were a few omegas who stopped what they were doing to bow when they say Dominic passed by. As soon as we got to the dining table, Dominic stepped ahead and pulled out a chair at the right hand side of the table for me to seat which i did, before he followed.

Elena’s pov. I woke up early in the morning and realized I was sleeping in the same bed with Alpha Dominic. “What happened? How am I on his bed?” I asked myself getting off the bed, I stood up and stared at Alpha Dominic who is still sleeping with a smile on his face. “Psst! What a pervert!” I said, still staring at him. I moved towards him to check on his fever, placing my hand on his forehead to realize that his fever had gone down. My eyes moved over his chest and I remembered the horrible class on his chest, my hand slowly moved over his duffet, I needed to check it again, at least for the second time. My band hovered around his duffet and I slowly pulled it down to get a glimpse of the claws. He shifted but his eyes were still closed tightly. As soon as I moved his duffer, my eyes caught the claws again, they were less terrifying compared to what I had seen yesterday. The marks looks duller. It seems me being by his side had helped it get better. Just as I leane
