Chapter 42 Motherly Instincts

"What's your name?" She questioned, gazing intently into his eyes.

All he could able to say was "Sterling."

"You'll have to face consequences for what you did, Sterling," she continued, scrutinizing every feature on the boy's face.

"No, ma'am, I was simply protecting myself," he explained.

A hard slap landed on Sterling's face, causing it to swell with pain. "Shut up," the woman said, "take him out. When night falls, give him a cold bath and leave him unclothed."

His brothers began shouting and pleading with them not to take Sterling away, but their pleas fell on deaf ears. After dragging Sterling, the man tore off his clothes.
