She smiled at me — that small, sharp, dangerous little smile that made my wolf sit up and pay attention.

“Not a problem at all, Alpha.”

I turned and walked out fast before I said something stupid.

Claude was waiting in the hallway, leaning against the wall with that annoying half-grin he’s had since we were kids.
