Chapter 93 - The mating ceremony.

A week later, I am woken up in the early hours of the morning by my omega and soon after, Paul’s mother joins me. My mother arrives mid-morning while my hair and make-up is being done, and I can see how proud she is.

I’m still hurt that she didn’t come with me, but I understand better why she stayed. It is the day of my mating ceremony, and Paul and I have been getting closer each day. The mate bond pulls so much that it has been incredibly difficult not to do anything.

Paul has been sleeping on the sleeper couch in his office, so I can stay in his room. I look around the room as I realize it is our room now. All around me everyone is talking and the excitement in the air has been building since the moment I arrived.

I have had trouble keeping my gaze up, but I was slowly learning. When the time comes, I’m helped into my dress and I turned to look at my reflection in the full-length mirror. I hardly recognize the young woman who is looking back at me.
