Mason.

“Leo,” I gently nudged him to wake him up. He groans, his hand tightening around my body.

“Leo, wake up,” I said, my voice dry and rough.

“Sugar, what is it?”

Although it’s dark in our bedroom, I was a little embarrassed at my request, “I’m thirsty, I want to drink water.”

“Okay,” Leo hums, pressing a soft kiss on my forehead. He turns on the bedside light and sleepily gets out of the bed.

I couldn’t help but giggle over the situation. It can’t be helped, it hurts so much when I try to take a step.

“Here,” Leo returns with a jug of warm water, he pours me a glass, “Drink slowly.”

“Thank you.”

“Do you need anything else?”

I shake my head, frowning.

“Not sleepy anymore?” Leo comes back to the bed, pulling me in his arms. I gently wrap my hands around his warm body, my face snuggling and feeling up his chest.

Mason“Thank you so much for coming, Helen,” I walked her out to the car, feeling grateful for her presence and support. My father’s funeral was over an hour ago but she still stuck around with me. Raphael left a while ago because he had a lot of influx of patient’s waiting for him, his phone didn’t stop vibrating.“I’m just grateful that I don’t have to console you,” She pats my shoulder, “You’re strong.”I let out a tired sigh, my shoulders slumping, “I don’t think so, I still dream of my father. I still watch his fist hit me, I don’t know… I hated him so much but I also loved and respected him. I wanted to get his approval all my life but all of the sudden I just couldn’t take it anymore. I was so angry, so…”“Mason,” She rubs my shoulders slowly, “He is dead now and he is never coming back. Having a father like that must have been so hard on you so don’t think so much about it.”“I won’t,” I agree with her, opening my arms to show that I want to hug her but I don’t look at her. Wh

Leo“Alpha, you have a visitor,” My Beta Mark announces, knocking on my office door slowly. I folded the paper in my hands into a square and placed a stamp on it before putting it in an envelope.“Send them away,” I rub my forehead, hating that I’m being disturbed. I haven’t been receiving visitors since I’m currently rebuilding the Pack. A lot of people are coming from everywhere, to show their support, to drink tea and tour around the now historical city.A city where the fierce fight between humans and Werewolves took place. The place where the Alpha was almost murdered by his own mate.“I tried, Alpha. But she has been waiting in the car for over five hours. She is persistent.”“Who is she?”“The late governor’s daughter, Helen Roberto.”I began to twirl the biro between my fingers, spinning it easily as I thought about the information Mark told me two days ago. She is an Alpha who just began her first year of college in Lauderhill top university. The same school as Zena. She does

Mason “You are finally done?” Mikko closes the laptop on his thighs and drops it by the bedside. I nodded, drying my hair with a mini towel as I walked back to my room.“I thought you might have needed some help there,” He grinned, helping me into the bed. He takes the towel from me and begins to help me dry my hair, straggling my body with his legs.I don’t say anything as my mind wanders somewhere else. It's been two weeks since I last saw Leo and it feels like two thousand years have already passed.I wonder what he is doing except killing people… I wonder if…“Mason,” Mikko waves his hand at my face, “Where is your mind?”I blink tiredly, “Sorry,” I shake my head, staring out the window. The snow has increased with the passing hours with a heavy windstorm.“You should get some rest, Mason,” Mikko pressed a tiny kiss on my hair. I lean close, wishing to feel that warmth… I don’t feel it. The way Mikko holds me is different, the way his lips press against my skin is enticing but t

LeoI gently knocked and opened the door to Ethan’s ward. By now he is already used to me coming over to see him everyday since the incident. As usual with him nowadays, he doesn’t look in my direction, he doesn’t acknowledge my presence or spare me a glance. He always sits close to the window or stays on the bed, and doesn’t turn around to talk to me even though I would talk to him. I dropped the fresh fruit basket I brought on the bedside table, taking a seat as I began peeling an apple for him as usual.“You don’t have to do this for me anymore, Alpha,” Tears escapes Ethan’s eyes as he immediately wipes them off, watching the Pack’s peaceful view, “I can take care of myself… you don’t have to visit me everyday.”“I want to come everyday to see you because I feel sorry, Ethan.”“Do you feel sad? About the baby I mean…I couldn’t… I wasn’t strong enough for it… I wasn’t,” He begins sobbing quietly as he shakes his head, “It’s my fault, I went overboard… I can’t live with myself anymor

MasonRachel and Kai Kai are surprised to see me come downstairs for dinner. They stared wide eyes at me with food in their cheeks.I pressed my lips in a thin line, feeling awkward, “Can I join?”“Ofcourse, young master,” Rachel jumps up, pulling a chair out for me. She hurries to fetch me a plate.Helen had left four hours ago after I had freshened up, I promised her I would eat dinner and get my shit together.“Here, young master, have some chicken soup. Kai Kai can you pass the bowl of white rice to Papa?”Surprisingly, Kai Kai quietly passed the bowl to me without sparing me a glance. He continues eating his food without saying a word of acknowledgment to me.“Baby, are you okay?”“Kai Kai is fine, Papa,” He answers lightly, eating up everything he has on his plate. He suddenly stands up, “Good night, Papa,” He runs upstairs, not looking back.I turned to Rachel, “Is he alright?”“I don’t know, young master. He has been quiet and distant like that. I thought he would be happy tha
