"I will join the pack under the condition that we are over, as in broke up." I hear the words leave my lips as if it wasn't my voice who spoke them. I look at him and he immediately looks like all the color has drained from his face. I swallow hard waiting for something to happen but he doesn't move only stare at me harder.

"I don't understand." he says. "If we break up , I will join the pack." I say it again hoping he understands this time. "I heard you the first time, I am not deaf. I do not understand why that is what you want." he tells me his voice growing louder and Angier with each words. I flinch never hearing him speak this way. It made me sad that I was the one who caused it but also annoyed that he would speak to me this way. Leaning into the annoyed feeling would make this easy. I rolled my eyes. " Don't raise your voice at me. What is there to understand. I do not want to be your girlfriend any longer." I said slightly louder letting some attitude
