Trevor's point of view. I watched as she stood crying and spoke the words that hurt my heart for her. "I am not your mate. I will not join this pack as your girlfriend only to be destroyed later publicly in front of them for when you do find your mate. One day I may find my mate and if I chose to be with him, I do not want to risk you killing him either. I want to end it now and join the pack as a member and learn to live as part of the pack not as your girlfriend. That is all." Then she ran out of my office. I close my eyes frustrated and conflicted. I exposed her to only part of the truth. That she was a werewolf but not that she was my mate and the pack's future Luna. I couldn't just go and tell her now she would not believe me until she shifted and her wolf told her. She would only think I was trying to manipulate her into what I want. "ARRGGGHHHHHH!" I half yelled and half growled slinging everything off my desk and in the floor and flying around the room. My wolf was dying to
Trixie point of viewThe doctors assistance came up to Jerica's room here at the pack house and stitched me up pretty good, told me to come see him in two more days to make sure it was healing well and if all was then he would remove them. Of course Jake kept watch over me until Jerica came in and then he sat in the corner mind-linking with someone while Trixie allowed me to just cry and get some of the things I was feeling. After some time we watched a movie and Jake left and came back with popcorn and snacks for us. After our movie ended Jerica and I started talking. "Well you have made it through 6 of the 10 books of our history. So you are catching up to the more important things that you should know. once you finish the other three; I will get one of our teachers to set up a regular study with you to cover more in detail anything you need and go over modern studies like how packs operate now and other things you will need to know." I nodded. "I feel like my brain is on overload.
Trixie's point of view It was just Wednesday and I was already exhausted. I Just finished fourth block and was heading to the parking lot with Jerica in tow behind me. She was telling me about something sweet Jake had done but how she wasn't impressed because it was nice for now but she was sure her mate would do things even sweeter. She kept trying to detach herself from him. Jerica's birthday was in about two months. It was obviously she had feel for Jake pretty hard and if Jake found a mate she would be devastated even though she would sooner die than admit that. I was only half listening anyway. My whole body was sore from the training the Jake set me up to do. He originally paired me with an older mated wolf name Dominic, he was a great pack warrior and trainer. Since meeting him I realized I had actually joined the private training he was giving his son, Spencer. Spencer being just nineteen was not mated yet however seemed to have his eye on me. I will tell you one thing, spar
Trixie's point of viewIt was Trevor. He was standing on the balcony over looking the back of the land were we were training. I was a little shocked to see him. I hadn't seen him since I broke it off with him. I wasn't avoiding him or anything our paths just hadn't crossed. Now they sure did. His eye bore through me and Spencer. He was panting and very angry. Then he jumped off of the balcony and ran into the woods. A second later I heard that cracking sound - the one Jerica's mom made when she shifted- so I guess he got mad, shifted and went running. As if this was normal behavior everyone else was going about their business. I looked between Dominic and Spencer a couple times. Dominic simply did one small shake of his head and tapped his ear. As if to tell me not to ask because Trevor would hear. I looked at Spencer who just shrugged at me now. "I think we have gotten in a fair amount of work today. Let's call it and pick up again tomorrow." Dominic told me with some finality to it
Trixies POV My mom and dad have been chomping at the bit to celebrate my birthday. Tonight was the night that we all agreed on and of course mom had it all planned out. She had order a pizza buffet and a cookie cake for me. We had sat down and reviewed the guest list and had my friends there. I was actually excited. I had just got out of school and everyone was suppose to come over about 5. I was getting ready at Jerica's house and so was Abby and Janet. Today Jerica did not have a pack car since they was no official pack business for her to take one for. So we all piled into Abby's Honda and we were off singing to today top hits and dancing with excitement to Jerica's house. We got there and her mom was waiting outside for us. "Hey girls!" she said. We all jumped out and gave her a quick wave. "Hey!" I told her. I honestly surprised myself when i found myself giving her a quick hug on my way in the door. The last couple weeks she has been helpful answering any questions I might hav
Trixie POV I woke up to my alarm playing the morning weather and then it rolled straight into today's top hits. I stretched out in my bed and got up. I took a quick shower and straightened my hair out. I put on my make-up. I pulled on some black leggings and a cute baby blue cropped sweater. My leggings were high waisted ones so even though my sweater was cropped there was practically no skin showing which was good for school. I threw on the new pair of Air Jordan sneakers that my parents got me last night. They were baby blue, white and pink with black ascents. I was in love with them. I grabbed my back pack as well as my duffle bag I had packed for my stay at the pack house this weekend, and headed down stairs where I could here my mom cooking breakfast. It smelled delicious. "Good morning my grown baby!" she said bittersweetly. "My baby is eighteen." She said putting down the frying pan with eggs and coming over and hugging me and giving me a kiss on the top of my head. I gave he
Jerica POV"Jerica, I feel sleepy." Trixie told me. I looked over at her. She was pale and clammy. She was running a fever. Trying not to worry her I say, " That's okay usually means the fever is breaking and you need rest before your shift. You can sleep. I will get us to the pack house and they will know what to do." I looked back over at her; she was already asleep in the passenger seat. I have only heard about a few running fevers or getting sick prior to shift. Usually meant there was going to be complications. I heard a rumor once that it meant the wolf was the off spring of someone procreating with someone other than their destined mate after meeting their mate. The pup would pay for the sins of their parents. It was cruel. I don't know if it was true or not but I was panicking. I looked between Trixie and the road. I knew I had to go to the pack house but once I got there I wasn't sure how they could help. But I knew who would know. I grabbed my phone and I hit send to start
Trevor point of view Trevor point of view We were walking out of he pack house just as Jerica tore down the drive way. Any other time I would be mad someone speeding down it but in this case I was glad she was. I couldn't get to Trixie fast enough. Within just moments Jerica skidded to a stop right in front of us. I immediately went to Trixie's door and began unbuckling her. "Really Jake? I said get my mom." Jerica whined. "I am here honey." Melissa called out to her from behind me. "Do you think you should be the one to get her out?" Jerica questioned him and the feral growl roared in my throat causing her to freeze but her attitude of course was never gone. "Geez okay I was just asking." She turned and began getting out on her side. I lifted Trixie up and cradled her in my arms. I felt her sigh against me and her body un tense slightly. Her fever was still there though. Her forehead glistened with sweat and her hair was slightly damp. I turned and carried her back into the pack h
