Chapter forty eight

For a moment no one moved a muscle as Alpha Landon, the woman and the girl stood in a face off. The woman's face was filled with horror and terror at what she had witnessed. Landon's mind worked frantically in an effort to come up with a way out of the mess he was in. The woman slowly began to back down and Landon knew what he should do.

Landon launched at the woman swiftly, his eyes glowing dangerously red and his claws which were already glistening with blood of the husband going for the blood of the wife and daughter too.

Maya reacted very fast. She pushed her daughter behind and moved forward, willingly sacrificing herself to save her daughter.
