Hi everyone, thank you for reading my story!
“Your niece?” She slowly nodded, “she doesn’t know. I tried to keep her safe. I know she doesn’t see it that way, but I protected her from Alpha William. I even tried to keep her from you,” she said. I could hear by the tone of her voice she was embarrassed by her actions. “How did she come here?” “I don’t think I have to explain it to you. You know how reincarnation works. She was born in our family, over and over again. Always living the same type of life. When I found out you were really Ares, god of war, her love. I gave her a book that was left by her parents. It was passed down for generations.” Every life I lived was the same. I was always an Alpha, always a leader. But hearing she had to endure suffering, and torture in every lifetime made me feel broken. I felt hurt and embarrassed about not finding her sooner. I could have saved her from this, from everything. With all my power and status, it took me ages before I found her. I know she has seen some of her past lives, bu
Jamie POV Everything started to blur together, pieces and flashes moving through my mind. “Let’s go girls.” The headmistress’ voice repeated itself. “Straight-line please…” Ares and Carson... My mates… right? “Rhys? Are you here?” I could hear my own voice, but my lips weren’t moving. As if I was spiraling without a light to balance me. Who is Rhys? “Hurry up now...Hurry up…. Wake up, Jamie!!” I jumped awake, panting. Sweat slowly dripping down my face. I looked around, trying to see where I was. Suddenly, someone cupped my face, steadying me. “What is it?” Liza said softly while brushing my cheek with her thumb. When I met her eyes, I could only see concern filling hers. “I..I…” I stammered, unable to find the words. “Are you that shocked you have found your mate,” Liza said with a small laugh. “My mate?” I asked her. My mate, who is my mate? Why can't I remember their names? Wait no, his name. “How could you forget, Alpha Smith, silly,” she said with a squeal. Alpha
Jamie POVEvery passing day we grew closer together. The confusion I once had was no longer there. I wanted to feel every part of his body. Feel him inside me, but he wanted to wait. I wanted to wear his mark, I wanted him to be mine. But I had to wait.He wants to pay his respects to the moon goddess by mating and marking each other at a full moon and not before. He explained the bond would be stronger if we waited for the full moon. I never expected it to be this hard, having him this close but not completely. He was driving me insane. I can't say we haven't cheated a little bit. I touched every part of his body, as he did mine. I never thought I would be this insatiable.I was tossing and turning in bed, Smith still beside me sleeping soundly. I moved closer, gently running my fingers over his bare chest. Somehow the tingles were only there when he was awake. I still don't understand how the mate bond works. But I know he's the one, he h
Carson POV All I wanted to do was rip his head off. But I learned quickly that he and I were the only ones with our wolves here. He created this world, I don't believe I can easily kill him. He somehow got inside her head, making her forget about her mates, thinking he was her mate. I can't take on a god, maybe Ares was right. Maybe he had to be here. But I have to try. I kept a close eye on the two. Smith never left her side. Before they went inside their bedroom my eyes locked with Jamie's. "Please recognize me, put the pieces together. You're not his," I tried to mind link her. But I couldn’t reach her. When they went inside their bedroom my stomach turned. My heart clenched at the thought of what they would be doing in there together. I did notice he hadn't marked her. His scent wasn't on her. "They haven't mated," I mumbled. Relief washed through me. There must be a reason why he's waiting. Maybe I can ask Ares for help. Or at least the Ares that is in this world. But e
Smith dragged me to our room. Holding my hair tightly in his hand. Hurting me with every step he took. I screamed and fought. Trying to escape out of his grip. The lifeless body of Carson was moved out of sight. My heart clenched at the thought of him. He stormed inside our room before he threw me on the bed. The tears that escaped my eyes never stopped. “You aren’t my mate,” I said. The anger that rushed through my veins was somehting I havent felt before. Smith's eyes pierced into mine. The ones I thought I loved changed into something I hate. “You are,” he said through gritted teeth. “A mate of mine would never hurt me.” Before I could take my next breath, my cheek burned from the slap he gave me. The taste of copper moved over my tongue. “You’re mine,” he said while his hand moved to my throat, squeezing it shut. I struggled in his grasp. I tried to scratch him, kick him
Jamie POV I sneaked back inside through the window, hoping I didn’t make a sound. I was a bit surprised to see Smith was still sound asleep. I moved as quietly as possible. Not knowing what to do next. The last words that left Carson’s lips before Smith killed him, resonated inside my mind. “All this isn’t…” I looked around the room, searching for something that I could use against Smith. He doesn’t deserve to live after what he did. I don’t believe he is my mate. And even if he is, a monster doesn’t deserve to live. After I couldn’t find anything, I stepped inside the bathroom. A sigh left my lips when my eyes met my own in the mirror, my hand trailing a path down my neck. Moving past the bruises, Smith left, to the spot where I felt like something was missing. I’m not backing down. With a trembling hand, I grabbed a towel and wrapped it around my hand. Wit
“I’m ready. Are you?” Matina asked. With a heavy sigh, I nodded. I hoped Carson would wake up before I went in to get Jamie. Or at least try. Every passing second, I could feel Carson getting stronger and Jamie getting weaker. The bond between me and Jamie is almost nonexistent. Matina handed me a glass, gesturing that I should drink it. It wasn’t the same as with Carson. However, I had no choice but to trust her. I drank the glass empty in one gulp before handing it back to Matina. Ignoring the filthy taste on my tongue, I laid down beside Jamie when my surroundings started to blur. The last words I heard before the darkness consumed me were, “bring her back, Ares.” Slowly the darkness was being replaced by light. The silence that surrounded me before was being replaced by… moans. “What is happening?” I asked Gideon. Who only grunted in response. When my vision was restored, I almost jumped out of my skin when I saw Estelle riding me. “Oh no, get her off now!” Gideo
When our lips locked, I felt her stirring beneath me. A small spark moved between our lips. I hoped it would be enough for her to come back to me. However, when I stepped back, I noticed she still wouldn’t wake up. I was about to take her in my arms when I heard guards approaching. More than I could take alone, especially if they are these fake lifeless shells Smith created. It seems only the ones who had their wolves were real people. I quickly moved away and hid in the next room while listening closely. Gideon almost took over when he heard Smith’s voice. I managed to push him back and peaked around the corner. It seemed he was here to take Jamie with him. He had seven guards with him. I could sense they all had wolves. Meaning they were really here and could be killed more easily. With a deep breath, I made my move, wanting to rip Smith’s head clean off. But when her voice resonated in my mind, I froze. “Wait,” Rhys said inside my mind. I was surprised and relieved to he
