Chapter 22

I sat on the high chair as the maids did whatever they had to disguise me. I couldn't wait to see what they had done to my body.

My thoughts drifted back to King Archer; I hadn't still set my eyes on him ever since we got here and got kind of scared that something bad might have happened to him.

"Did you change the Queen's hair color and cover up her freckles? She is the only queen with these qualities," a maid from another room walked in and said as my heart skipped. Am I really losing my red hair?

"Okay then, Sara, get me some black hair dye," The maid said as a young-looking maid gave her the hair dye.

Wait, this can't be happening! I love my hair color, and black will make me look odd.

"Excuse me, uhm… does applying this black dye change my hair color forever?" I asked curiously as she shook her head.

"It's just for the night; once the ceremony is over, a maid will wash it off with some hair treatments," the maid replied as I heaved a sigh of relief.
