Chapter 32

Alana's POV.

I sat on one of the chairs at the dining table as I studied a book. Alpha Matthew has actually requested my presence, and that's why I was here to speak with him.

Although he was yet to arrive, I had no choice but to use this book to quench the boredom of waiting for his arrival.

It wasn't long afterward that he blessed me with his presence, and as he entered the room, his eyes were radiant with a spark.

"Alana!" His voice was ethereal as he spread his arms to pull me into an embrace.

Wow. Within the hug, my eyes widened, as I hadn't expected him to take such an action.

There was no one else in the room with us except a guard that came behind Alpha Matthew, and he was standing close to the door, quite far away from us.

"'Now, I called you here for a conversation, but firstly, I've got to apologize for my absences here and then. I heard about some of the things that happened to you that should have happened." He paused and graced me with a tug on his lips.
