56. Huntress

After the conversation with Patricia, I made my way outside. This was to check on the pack members. It was like everything today happened here because of me.

My eye caught the clock strike 12 when I walked out. The midnight air hit my face. I held my black dress, raising it up slightly to walk without stumbling. My shoes dug in the damp soiled ground with each step I took.

From where I stood, I could see the pack finally settling. Most men and women were retiring to bed. I noticed a strange thing though. The children weren’t afraid in anyway. Instead, vengeance was written beneath the depths of their eyes.

I was beginning to know the reason for Fangs Clan being the most feared pack. They trained everyone to fight, including children. Thus, these creatures didn’t even fear what was coming their way. Not a single one did cling to their parent in fear.
