Chapter Ten

Kelsey walked home from where Dennis dropped her, she didn't want him to know why she accepted his offer.

Kelsey wanted to keep everything to herself until she finally has the money to go live with the humans.

She got home to meet Karin in the kitchen making dinner, she didn't realize how fast the time went by. "Where were you Kelsey?", her sister asked.

Kelsey stood still as she thought of an excuse, "I..I went to the market", she lied.

Karin looked at her but she couldn't believe what she said, she had no bag of groceries, "To do what? you went to the market two days ago", she nagged

"I forgot to get something", Kelsey replied briskly and started walking to her room, "I will join you soon", she added and rushed to her room.

She fell on her bed and looked outside the window, she looked at the beautiful stars and wished her life was as beautiful as the stars. She changed into a short playsuit and walked back to the kitchen to join her sister.
