Chapter One Hundred Twenty Nine

The road to the cabin was hardly even a road.

It was just a thick fog of leaves and trees, basically a forest but with tire tracks.

“I thought you said your family used to come here?” Denis growled at Jerry when the car bumped into something for the umpteenth time.

“We used to, like a million years ago.” Simon snapped back, he was in an uncomfortable state at the back, therefore taking all the hit of the car.

He’d bumped his head a million times, he was sure it was going to give in and crack anytime soon.

“I think they’re building something out here.” Peter commented. “These tire tracks, they’re not just your regular tire tracks, it’s definitely from a heavy machine, look how deep it sunk.”

“I don’t give a shit what they’re building, it’s out of my jurisdiction and I just want Kelsey.” Denis answered and increased his speed ignoring every bump on the way and letting Jerry bear the brunt of it

“It’s the other way.” Jerry said pointing with his head.
