Chapter 36: The Day After

Hana woke up around 9 am. It was a rare sunny morning of their country's usually rainy June.

When she walked down the small staircase, the first person she looked for was, as usual, Ley. She caught sight of him seated comfortably in the living room, and he was watching some sort of movie. For her, who had quite the meticulous and no-nonsense image in her mind, it was quite unbelievable. Her eyes widened a bit and her mouth formed a small 'o' for a while.

‘So he’s not thinking of work all the time.’ The girl then giggled, finally remembering that the guy was only three to four years older than her.

She teased, “How come the family head is idling away now?”

With a tap of his finger, he paused the funny stand-up comedy playing on the screen. He did this all instinctively, alarmed by the girl’s voice.

Ley looked up sideway. His eyes were seemingly asking, 'Family head? Who?'
