My body heats with rage as I make my way through Miami’s airport terminal. Val’s words ring in my ears with an ominous warning. Unfortunately, the past three weeks were not fruitful. We were unsuccessful in finding any trace of Carlos’ daughter. I have to give it to Carlos though, he’s determined to find her, and I can’t fault him. If it had been my daughter, I’d do the same. Thankfully, he understood that I had to go home to my wife. He was actually surprisingly pleasant considering the circumstances, so I left him with a few of my men and offered him accommodations until he found her. Colin stayed with him too.
