The next day, Leo and the rest of the pack stood on alert. They had expected an attack from the unknown figures spotted at the edge of their territory. But instead, what arrived was far from hostile.

To their surprise, the group requested a peaceful audience. Kaelen, the leader among them, calmly approached the head guard and explained the purpose of their visit. They wished to speak with the Alpha and Luna of the pack. Respecting the request but maintaining protocol, the guards instructed them to wait until the time of the council meeting.

When the meeting commenced, Leo sat at the head of the long stone table, flanked by the elderly wolves and senior warriors of the pack. The atmosphere was tense, silent, watchful. At last, Kaelen and his group were brought in.

Kaelen stepped forward and bowed respectfully. “I am Kaelen,” he announced. “I come from the Lycan community. I seek peace, not war.”

Leo gave a nod, his sharp eyes fixed on the stranger. “Speak, then,” he said. “Why have you

Rosetta stood before her mirror, adjusting the deep crimson sash of her gown. Her eyes sparkled—not with excitement, but with cunning purpose. News had already spread through the pack that Aliyah would be attending today’s Council meeting.“This is my chance,” Rosetta murmured to herself, smoothing her hair with deliberate grace. “If I play this right, I can finally make everything go my way.”She turned to leave, but then paused at the doorway. A cold thought struck her. Her steps faltered.Wait… she thought, her breath catching slightly. The Lycans. That community… I was once a part of it. She knew their customs. She knew their faces.Rosetta froze completely now, retreating back to her vanity. She sank onto the edge of her bed, one hand pressed against her chest as an uneasy tremble ran through her.“I can’t believe I almost ruined everything,” she muttered. “If any of them recognize me… Leo will know the truth. He’ll find out I’m the one who led them here. He’ll know I brought the

Leo moved silently through the shadows, his steps purposeful as he caught up with Beta Rylan near the eastern ridge. The Beta Rylan stood tall, eyes scanning the treeline with the sharp focus of a seasoned warrior.“Report,” Leo said in a low voice.Rylan nodded. “There’s movement in the woods, but they’re keeping just outside our perimeter. Could be rogues… or something more organized. We’ve doubled patrol, but they haven’t crossed the border.”Leo’s jaw tightened. “Good. Keep the outer patrols rotating every hour. I want no gaps.”Rylan gave a clipped nod. “Understood.”After a moment of silence as they walked around, Leo glanced at Rylan. Knowing him to be the quiet type, Leo decided to use the moment to play Aliyah’s part and broke the silence. “You alright?”Rylan raised his brows slightly. “Of course. Why do you ask?”Leo shrugged casually. “Just seems like you’ve been a little… distracted lately.”Rylan let out a short laugh. “I think that’s more your territory, Alpha.”Leo smi

Aliyah gave a thoughtful hum. “Hmm. Because someone I know might like him.”Leo glanced at her with amusement. “Who?”Aliyah grinned. “Can’t say. It’s not my secret to tell.”Leo raised a brow. “You love stirring trouble.”“Maybe,” she said playfully, splashing a little water at him. “But it’s the fun kind of trouble.”He leaned in, brushing his lips near her cheek. “Just don’t drag me into your schemes.”“No promises,” she whispered, laughing. They splashed each other again, laughter filling the air, the tension from earlier completely washed away in the calm of the moment.Aliyah moved closer, her voice softer now. “You don’t really know her, but she was one of the contestants during the trial.”Leo narrowed his eyes slightly. “Uhmm… or was it the guest who came over today?”Aliyah nodded.Leo gave her a skeptical look. “Subtlety isn’t exactly your thing.”Aliyah laughed. “That’s why you’re going to talk to Rylan. Just casually ask if there’s someone he likes. If he says no, maybe h

“I’m truly glad you won and became our Luna,” Belinda said with a warm laugh as she settled beside Aliyah. “It still feels like it all happened just yesterday.”Aliyah smiled and raised her glass. “It’s been a dream come true,” she replied. “But to be honest, I did it all because of Leo, because of our love. I could never imagine leaving him for anything or anyone.”Aliyah had invited Belinda to her chamber that evening. Since the trial, they hadn’t had a chance to truly talk, and tonight felt like the perfect moment to reconnect. She wanted to thank Belinda, not just for her support, but for being a good friend, even when they had been competitors. As they talked and laughed, Aliyah grew curious and asked something that had been on her mind.“Why did you never seem too concerned about winning? About becoming Luna?”Belinda hesitated, her smile faltering slightly. After a moment of silence, she finally spoke.“Honestly, I never wanted to be Luna,” she admitted. “I was forced into the

After four days of traveling through thick forests and winding paths, Elder Varin, sent by Luna Rosetta, finally reached the Lycan community to deliver his message. On his first day, the elders and leaders were wary, viewing him as a stranger. He wasn’t permitted to meet with the council immediately, but he spoke with several pack members who understood the purpose of his journey. The pack had been searching for Aliyah for some time. Rogues had spread rumors of a young woman who could shift into a Lycan, reigniting hope within the community. After hearing Elder Varin’s message, the pack took him seriously and granted him an audience with the Lycan council. An older Lycan with sharp silver eyes stood before the council. Elder Thalos watched the messenger closely, his expression unreadable.“What matter is so urgent that it brings you to our territory?” Elder Thalos asked, his voice low and commanding.“I come as a messenger from the Blood Crescent Pack,” Elder Varin replied calmly.“An
