Rowan’s POV

I had seen wolves shift before.

I had guided them through their first runs, calmed them through the breaking, carried them when their bodies gave out.

I knew the screams, the agony, the way bone and blood seemed to betray before finally setting free. But I had never seen anything like Aurora.

When she fell to her knees in the clearing, sobbing, trembling, clutching at the earth like it was the only thing keeping her anchored, something in my chest snapped.

I wanted to lift the pain from her. I wanted to take it myself. But I couldn’t. No one could.

So I did the only thing I knew: I steadied her hand, spoke low and calm, and whispered the truth.

“It will hurt. It always does. But you are stronger than this pain.”

And when her body broke, when her bones cracked and fur burst through her skin, when her cry turned into a growl and her wolf finally stepped free—

I forgot to breathe.

She was white. Not silver, not pale gray. White as snow.

Her fur shimmered beneath the faint l

  • The Awakening Of The Hybrid Luna    Chapter 61: Claiming

Aurora’s POVBy Monday, everyone at the high school knew.Okay, maybe not everyone. But when you walk into school flanked by two Alphas — both of them holding your hands — with the Shadow Fangs prowling behind like your personal security detail, whispers spread fast. And after what happened this weekend, the whispers had turned into wildfire.“She’s with both of them, right?”“I heard she shifted. Did you see the crescent mark?”“No wonder they’ve been fighting over her. She’s some kind of wolf royalty.”“Bet she’ll choose one eventually. No way she keeps both.”I kept my chin high, but my stomach twisted. It wasn’t the judgment that got to me. It was how wrong they were.Because deep down, I already knew — I wasn’t going to choose between them.I couldn’t.Zander walked on my right, his jaw set, glaring at anyone who dared look at me too long. Rowan walked on my left, calm but sharp, his presence somehow louder than words. The Shadow Fangs flanked us like shadows, Xavier and Ben laug

  • The Awakening Of The Hybrid Luna    Chapter 60: My Beast is Hungry

Rowan’s POVFrom the outside, I looked calm.I always did.It was how I’d been raised — how I’d survived. Keep steady, keep measured, keep the storm contained. My pack needed a rock when everything burned. I’d been that rock. I’d learned to master every flicker of expression until no one saw the cracks. But the truth?Sitting in Zander’s kitchen, watching Aurora blush as she stammered about her wolf, hearing the word Liora fall from her lips—I wasn’t calm at all.I was shaking inside. Her wolf. Her other half. When Aurora said Liora had spoken to her, the bond snapped tighter, brighter. It was like someone had lit a fire in my blood and poured lightning through my veins. My wolf surged, pressing against me. She is awake. She is whole. You feel it, don’t you? The bond has sharpened.I clenched my jaw, sipping my coffee slowly to hide the way my hands wanted to tremble. I feel it.We need her, my wolf growled. We need Liora. We need Aurora. Not tomorrow. Not someday. Now.I shut my ey

  • The Awakening Of The Hybrid Luna     Chapter 59: OMG Loria

Aurora’s POVThe first thing I noticed when I woke up was the ache.Every muscle in my body throbbed, like I’d run ten marathons back-to-back. My skin tingled, too — stretched, alive, humming with something more than pain. The second thing I noticed was Ember snoring softly beside me, her hair a wild tangle across the pillow. She must have ended up coming back home once I fell asleep because she had passed out at some point in Zander’s room, curled around me like she could guard me from my own exhaustion. The third thing I noticed was the voice.Morning, Aurora, Liora purred in the back of my mind. Or should I call you sunshine?I groaned, pressing the pillow over my face. You’re way too cheerful for this hour.Cheerful? No. Hungry? Yes. Her tone darkened, silk and smoke. Do you remember last night? The way Zander looked at us? The way Rowan’s scent spiked when we blushed?Heat crawled up my neck. Liora—They want us. Both of them. And now that I’m awake, I want them too.Images sla

  • The Awakening Of The Hybrid Luna    Chapter 58: Zee Is Horny

Zander’s POVI wasn’t sure which was worse — the sight of Aurora shifting back naked in the woods.Or the way she blushed later when she admitted her wolf was whispering things she wouldn’t repeat out loud. Both nearly broke me. Both nearly broke Zee. And gods help me, both made me want to give in so badly it hurt. When she curled into my couch, drowning in my shirt, cheeks red, fingers gripping the blanket like it was armor — I wanted to tear the whole damn world apart just to keep her safe. But then she stammered about Liora. About her wolf talking to her. About things she wouldn’t say.Her face went crimson, her thighs pressed together under the blanket, her eyes darting between Rowan and me.And that was when Zee nearly took over. She wants us, he growled inside me. She’s thinking about us. Both of us. We should take her now. Bite her. Claim her. Make her ours completely.Images crashed through me — Rory gasping under my hands, her neck tilted back for my mark, her body arching as

  • The Awakening Of The Hybrid Luna    Chapter 56: After My First Shift

Aurora’s POVBy the time we got back to Zander’s house, every part of me ached. Not just the usual kind of sore, like after gym class or a long hike. This was bone-deep, skin-tight, muscle-tearing sore. Like every part of me had been broken down and rebuilt from scratch.Which, technically, it had.Zander pushed open the door, his hand lingering just long enough to guide me through first. Rowan followed behind me most likely checking out my ass, and Ember darted in like she owned the place, because she actually did proceeding to flop dramatically onto the couch.“Never in my life,” she announced, “have I seen a first shift that epic. Rory, you’ve officially set the bar so high no one will ever reach it.”I groaned, easing down onto the other end of the couch. “I feel like I got hit by a truck.”Zander smirked faintly, but there was worry in his eyes. He crouched in front of me, tilting his head until his gaze caught mine. “How bad?”“Bad,” I admitted. “But… good bad. If that makes s
