Aurora’s POV

By the time we got back to Zander’s house, every part of me ached.

Not just the usual kind of sore, like after gym class or a long hike.

This was bone-deep, skin-tight, muscle-tearing sore. Like every part of me had been broken down and rebuilt from scratch.

Which, technically, it had.

Zander pushed open the door, his hand lingering just long enough to guide me through first.

Rowan followed behind me most likely checking out my ass, and Ember darted in like she owned the place, because she actually did proceeding to flop dramatically onto the couch.

“Never in my life,” she announced, “have I seen a first shift that epic. Rory, you’ve officially set the bar so high no one will ever reach it.”

I groaned, easing down onto the other end of the couch. “I feel like I got hit by a truck.”

Zander smirked faintly, but there was worry in his eyes. He crouched in front of me, tilting his head until his gaze caught mine. “How bad?”

“Bad,” I admitted. “But… good b

Aurora’s POVI woke slowly. Not because of sound. Not because of fear. But because I was being kissed.Softly at first.A warm brush of lips at my temple. Then another at my shoulder. Then a lingering press just beneath my ear that sent a quiet shiver down my spine.I smiled before I even opened my eyes.Rowan’s kisses were always like this—gentle, reverent, as if he was greeting something precious instead of waking someone up.Zander’s were never far behind.A deeper kiss followed, playful and sure, brushing the corner of my mouth, then my jaw, then lingering there like he was daring me to wake up and catch him.“Morning, little moon,” Zander murmured against my skin.I hummed softly, still half-asleep, shifting closer to the warmth on both sides of me.Rowan’s arm tightened around my waist from behind, his chest solid and warm against my back. His lips brushed my hair, then my cheek.“Did we wake you?” he asked quietly, though his smile was in his voice.“Mm… you were trying to,” I

  • The Awakening Of The Hybrid Luna     Chapter 106: Not Perfect but Perfect to me

Aurora’s POVThe cabin felt different when we returned. Not heavier. Not lighter.Just… charged. The fire was low. Afternoon light spilled through the windows in soft, amber ribbons. Everything looked the same — the chairs, the hearth, the blankets — but I didn’t feel the same inside my skin.Zander had shifted back into his usual quiet intensity after the run. He gave me small looks when he thought I wasn’t watching. Gentle. Protective. Grounded. And Rowan…Rowan was too still. He stood at the window with his arms crossed, silver eyes fixed on the forest like he was listening for something only he could hear. The bond trembled between us.Not painful.Aware.I felt it tighten when I stepped fully inside.Rowan spoke without turning around.“You ran deep today.”Zander stiffened slightly beside me.I swallowed.“Yes.”The bond pulsed once — slow, measured.Rowan turned then. And the look in his eyes wasn’t anger. It was understanding laced with vulnerability.“I felt the shift,” he sa

  • The Awakening Of The Hybrid Luna    Chapter 105: I’m Scared of losing you

Zander’s POVThe forest doesn’t judge. It doesn’t care that I’m an Alpha. That I’ve spilled blood. That I carry shadows behind my ribs.Out here, I’m just a wolf. And this morning, I needed to be one.Aurora stepped out of the cabin just as the sky began to lighten with gray and gold. Her hair was loose, tangled with sleep, cheeks flushed from the cold. She looked softer than she had any right to after everything she’d survived.“You ready?” I asked. She smiled a little. “For what?”I tilted my head toward the trees. “To run until your thoughts can’t keep up anymore.”She studied me for a second — really studied me.Then nodded. “Yeah. I think I am.”We didn’t talk again.Didn’t need to.The moment our feet hit the forest floor, instinct took over. Breath synced. Heartbeats matched. The world narrowed to motion and air and the steady thunder of blood in my ears.Aurora shifted first — graceful, effortless.White-gold fur flowed over her skin like moonlight poured into a living shape.

  • The Awakening Of The Hybrid Luna    Chapter 104: My Name?

Aurora’s POVThe bonfires lit at sunset. One by one, flames bloomed across the clearing like fallen stars, their warmth chasing the chill from the mountain air. Lanterns were strung between trees, glowing soft gold. Music drifted through the woods—drums first, low and steady, then laughter, then voices rising together.A pack festival.Zander stood beside me at the edge of the clearing, his arm draped casually over my shoulders like this was the most natural thing in the world.“They do this when they sense a storm coming,” he murmured.I glanced up at him. “To prepare?”He smirked. “To remember how to live.”Rowan approached from the other side, holding three cups of spiced cider. He passed one to me, his fingers brushing mine.“They celebrate survival,” he said softly. “Not victory. Not war. Just… being here.”That felt important.I looked out over the crowd.Wolves in human form danced barefoot in the grass. Children ran between the fires, laughing as older warriors pretended not

Rowan’s POVAurora slept curled against both of us, breathing softly, her hair spread across the pillows like golden fire. I lay awake beside her, watching the slow rise and fall of her chest. She deserved peace. She deserved a lifetime of it — but at the very least, she deserved a moment. Her wolf was tired. Her magic was tired. Her heart… gods, it was so heavy and still so brave.I brushed a finger along her cheek and whispered:“You need light again, little star.”Zander shifted awake beside me, rubbing sleep from his eyes.“What are you staring at?” he mumbled.“Aurora.”He huffed. “Yeah, same.”We were quiet a moment. Then Zander lifted himself onto an elbow.“She needs a break.”I nodded. “A real one.”“A day where nobody tries to kill her.”“It would be refreshing.”Zander snorted softly. “Understatement of the century.”He looked at her again, and something softer than usual flickered across his face.“She laughs less now,” he said. “I want it back.”“So do I.”We both knew th
