On the other end of the phone, my mafia boss brother Liam Carter’s voice instantly became flustered.

“Quinn? What’s wrong? Maria, she—”

Before he could finish, Maria Garcia suddenly sprang up from the hospital bed. She snatched my phone and slammed it hard onto the floor.

My globally limited, custom-made phone shattered into pieces.

The important medical data stored inside was likely destroyed as well.

“So you’re Quinn? You vixen!

“You dare seduce my man right in front of me?!”

She pointed at my face and cursed.

“And you’re still pretending to be kind, coming here to help deliver my baby? I think you were just waiting for me to be weak so you could crawl into my fiance’s bed!”

I was just about to explain patiently that Liam was actually my brother.

However, before I could say anything, the delivery room door was suddenly shoved open.

A middle-aged woman wearing a thick gold chain rushed in. It was Maria’s mother, Camila Garcia.

The moment she saw her daughter thrashing on the bed, she didn’t ask a single question. She turned on me and started yelling.

“You little vixen! Did you do this to my daughter?!

“I’m telling you right now. Maria is carrying the mafia boss’ golden heir! If anything happens to that baby, I’ll kill your entire family!”

Maria cried as she threw herself into her mother’s arms.

“Mom! This woman bullied me! She even cursed my baby!”

Camila patted her back while glaring at me viciously.

“I told you not to hire an improper doctor like this. But you just wouldn’t listen!”

Then she changed her tone.

“Our family isn’t what it used to be.

“Our company, Vitalis Pharmaceuticals, just secured a huge contract. The stock price has been hitting the limit every day!”

“A small doctor like you should know better than to offend us. Be careful, or you won’t survive in this industry!”

Listening to her, I felt speechless.

That contract she was so proud of was nothing more than a casual favor I had arranged through one of my company’s minor subsidiaries, purely out of consideration for my brother.

I never expected it to become their source of arrogance.

Ignoring their shouting, I took out my backup phone, pointed it at the pile of phone fragments on the floor, and took a photo.

My action completely enraged Maria and her mother.

“What are you taking pictures for?! It’s just a broken phone! You think you can scam us?”

Maria screamed sharply. “Mom, look at her phone. You can just tell it’s fake!

At that moment, my backup phone rang.

It was my brother calling back.

As soon as I answered, Maria lunged forward like she had gone mad, trying to snatch the phone.

On the screen, a photo of the two of us and the contact name was clearly displayed—Big Brother.

Maria completely lost control.
