Daniel rushes to the hospital and storms through the fifth floor where he finds Lincoln. Lincoln is shell shocked, his shirt stained with Halsey’s blood. “Linc, what happened?” Daniel demands. A while ago, he received a call from Lincoln. He was distraught and incoherent but Daniel could make out that it was related to Halsey. “I-I…” Lincoln looks at him with teary eyes. “Halsey knows! She knows that we killed mom-” “Shhhhh!” Daniel hisses, frantically looking around if they’ve been heard. “Let’s go to my office!” He drags his son to his office and locks the door behind him. “Tell me,” he demands. Lincoln slowly recaps how he forced Halsey to break up with Nathan, how he accidentally told her that Daniel is involved in Charlotte’s murder and in the ensuing struggle, Halsey was hurt. “I brought her to the hospital but she was bleeding so much!” Lincoln cries. “Dad, I can’t lose her! Lincoln is sitting next to Halsey’s bed, staring at her still body. It’s been over a month and she still hasn’t woken up. The doctors keep telling him that she might wake up but they don’t know when that’ll happen. A nurse enters Halsey’s ward to check her charts. She’s about to check Halsey’s pulse when she notices that the white bedsheet is quickly turning crimson.
