By the time I got back home, my head was pounding. Surprisingly, it wasn't because of work or any endless meetings, Silas was the cause. Only thinking about the nonsense he said while in my office made me want to smash glass on the wall.

The living room lights weren't bright enough when I entered and the house had an unusual warmth that was never there before. I heard hushed voices and then loud laughter from the kitchen area from the girls.
