19. Vipers

Hamza woke up as the harsh rays of sunlight fell straight on his face. Why the hell did he forget to draw the curtains last night? The room was icy cold as he liked it that way thanks to the air-conditioner. He lay on his front grabbing a pillow and putting it under his face. He didn't feel like getting out of the bed just to draw the blinds.

He checked the time on his phone and it was afternoon. He got back home when the hues of early dawn surrounded the sky. He went through his emails and finally got up to get ready for the day.

After a shower, he wore his suit and left his room. He didn't feel like eating as he went to check on Hafsa but she wasn't in her room. Akram informed him that she was with ma'am Batool so Hamza went to meet his mom.

Hafsa sat on the bed beside Batool. "Hamza beta (son) come," Batool called him and Hafsa stood up to leave but Hamza blocked her way.
