I looked over toward Mary, who just stared at my brother in the true form she was in awe of him. I smiled at her and made my way to her, her belly still swollen with babe. ‘May I?’ I asked Mary gesturing to touch her belly. She smiled, shyly, and nodded. I placed my hand on her stomach. My niece kicked at my touch. I smiled, my hand started to glow very brightly my connection to my niece was strong. We would have been close. I’m sure of it. She knew I loved her very much. I looked at Mary and said to her, ‘she’s ready and eager to meet us.’ My brother and Michael flanked me on both sides. Each placing a hand on Mary’s very swollen belly. ‘Come daughter.’ My twin beckoned to his daughter. Michael’s hand brushed mine. I looked at him and smiled a sad smile. I pushed my thoughts into his head.

'I'll never watch her grow, never be able to teach her how to harness her full potential, never be able to feel her warmth again. Why is this hard already, Michael? Why does it hurt to say goodby
