The Haunting

Everleigh looked at the picture of Rufus and Alice again. She can’t remember her, and she hates herself for not remembering her rival. Rujan was right; Janice may be one of Rufus’ women, but right now, she couldn’t feel her as a threat. But Alice’s is different; she can’t find her in her memories and has never met the woman in person, but she knew the woman played a huge part in Rufus’ life. She seemed familiar.

To the world outside, Alice was his former fiancée, while to her, she’s just no one. A poor, stupid lady was knocked up by the magnificent Rufus. She cried again and remained inside her garden. After she washed her mouth, the rumbling of her stomach subsided. She went into the leather couch inside a gazebo and rested there for a few moments, but she fell asleep.

When she woke up, it was already past six in the afternoon, and his kids were having dinner. “We didn’t wake you, Luna; you were sleeping soundly,” Sonya said. She didn’t have any appetite, but the smell of pot roast m
