Rolex

The moment our lips brushed together, everything shattered.

It wasn’t gentle or romantic. It was violent and sudden, like my mind had been ripped open without warning. A blurred image of a woman flashed in my head, her face was not clear and her features distorted as if seen through water…but her voice was desperate and unmistakable.

“Rolex!”

The sound of my name echoed again and again, louder each time, until it drowned out every other noise around me.

A sharp pain exploded at the back of my head, spreading forward until it felt like my skull was splitting apart. I gasped, pulling away instinctively, my hands flying to my temples as if I could physically hold my mind together.

The room spun.

“Rolex!” the voice cried again inside my head.

It wasn’t Neville’s voice.

The pain intensified, turning into a violent pounding that blocked out everything else…It was like my senses shut down one by one, overwhelmed by the noise in my head and the pressure threatening to crush me from the

MiaI stepped into the hall, my pace slowing as my eyes swept across the space. Everywhere I looked, it screamed extravagance. Crystal chandeliers glimmered above, their light reflecting off polished floors. Long tables dressed in white and gold stretched across the hall, servers weaving effortlessly between guests with trays of champagne and wine. Soft music floated through the air. This was no ordinary meeting. This was the address she had sent me. I had come because of Rolex, I had swallowed my pride, ignored my instincts, and come here alone. But standing here now, surrounded by strangers dressed like royalty, I realized how badly I had miscalculated. This was supposed to be a private meeting between me and that woman. So why did this look like the opening of a major event?A party.I felt horribly out of place. My simple dress suddenly felt inadequate among the designer gowns and tailored suits. I clutched my phone tightly, my pulse quickening as unease crept up my spine. I pul

MiaThere Bruno stood in the doorway, frozen in shock, his eyes wide and fixed on the man beside me as if he had just seen a ghost crawl out of the grave.“Bruno?” My voice came out breathless. “What the hell are you doing here?”I adjusted my robe instinctively and stepped closer to Rolex, standing shoulder to shoulder with him as if my body could shield him from whatever storm Bruno had brought with him. Bruno didn’t answer me immediately. He couldn’t tear his eyes away from Rolex.“Rolex?” he finally called, disbelief thick in his voice. “How… how is he alive?”Rolex’s expression remained empty and unreadable, but I felt the slight tension in his body. He had sensed it too. The familiarity in Bruno’s reaction, the way his voice broke when he said that name.“You shouldn’t be here,” I snapped, panic clawing at my chest. Without waiting for another word, I grabbed Rolex’s arm, pulled him back, and slammed the door shut in Bruno’s face. The loud bang echoed through the apartment.I le

MiaThe knock on the door was mpatient, cutting through the quiet of the apartment like a warning.I froze for a second, my heart leaping to my throat. I had just stepped out of the shower, a robe loosely tied around me, my hair still dripping wet and clinging to my shoulders. Whoever it was sounded like they had no intention of waiting. It couldn’t be Kay.Kay’s biometrics were registered at the door. He had full access. He never had to knock, he simply walked in whenever he wanted… but he always make sure he informed me before showing up here.Another knock came, louder this time.I hurried out of my room, my bare feet slapping softly against the tiled floor as I moved toward the door. With each step, unease settled deeper in my chest. Something about the urgency felt wrong.I reached the door and opened it.The moment it swung open, my breath caught painfully in my throat.“Rolex…” His name escaped my lips in a whisper before I could stop myself. He stood there, tall and solid in

RolexIt was a beautiful lie that I told when I said I didn't feel any spark, and that was the only way I could describe what happened at the beach. The moment my lips touched hers, something inside me cracked open. It was violent and sudden. My body reacted before my mind could catch up, like it had been waiting for her without my permission. For a split second, I forgot the confusion that had ruled my life since I woke up in that hospital bed with no memory and too many scars. All I felt was her.The heat, the pull. The way my chest tightened and my breath shortened, like my body recognized her even when my mind refused to. It scared the hell out of me.That kind of reaction wasn’t normal. Not for a stranger. Not for someone I was supposed to distrust. And yet, my control slipped the moment I tasted her, as if something ancient and familiar had stirred awake inside me.That was why I pulled away.If I hadn’t, I wasn’t sure I would have stopped myself. Now, as I drove back home, her

MiaThe location he sent me led to a beach. When I arrived, the sun was already sinking low in the sky, painting the horizon in shades of orange, pink, and deep blue. The evening breeze was cool, carrying the salty scent of the sea. The beach was quiet, almost empty. For a moment, I thought I had come to the wrong place. I reached for my phone, my fingers trembling slightly as I prepared to call him, until I saw him.His back was to me.I would recognize that posture anywhere. The way he stood so still, shoulders squared, hands relaxed at his sides like a man who was always ready for danger. The wind lifted his shirt slightly, and my heart tightened painfully in my chest. Why here?Of all places, why did he choose the beach?I took a slow breath, steadying myself. I had promised myself I wouldn’t let my emotions take control this time. I couldn’t afford to break down in front of him. Not now, when everything depended on what I said and how I said it.I approached him slowly, my footst
