Rolex

My head ached madly as I sat up slowly on the bed, holding my head and trying to steady the pain. I didn’t remember much in detail, but I had a little recall..just fragments of how my head started acting different after I drank from the wine.

A cruel smile curled up my lips as the realization sank in. I was quick to put the details together, piecing every moment like a puzzle snapping into place. I knew something fishy was going on. I was just too slow to figure it out before it was too late.

Red. She dared to try and play me.

The door creaked open, and she walked in carrying a glass of water and a tray. “You’re awake?” she said with that fake smile, pretending as if she didn’t just sign her own death sentence.

I watched her closely as she came to me and offered the glass of water. My eyes trailed over every inch of her face…too calm and composed.

I picked up the glass and brought it to my lips without saying a word, but I stopped midway... the memory of her words,“Don’t fight i

I think it will be something of that kind. She most probably will get very close with Levi and he might help her out with her revenger plans

RolexI knocked impatiently on the hotel door, my fist thudding harder each time. She was taking too long to respond and with every passing second, my patience thinned and my anxiety sharpened. I felt something was wrong the moment I walked into the house earlier and saw Leo sitting by himself on the couch, his small hands folded in his lap, his face was sad and bored.Leo was never that quiet unless something was seriously bothering him, I got to know the side of him when Fiona came, but seeing him sitting all by himself… I crouched in front of him. “Where’s your mum?”He shrugged, his voice barely above a whisper. “She left.”Those two words stabbed straight into my chest.I stood up immediately and went to find one of the maids. When I asked about Mia, her expression shifted with worry. She told me Mia had left that morning and returned a few hours later looking like she had been crying. She took a few pieces of luggage and left again…this time with Fiona.Hearing that she cried

RubyGetting into her apartment, the first thing she did was pour herself a tall glass of iced red wine. The moment the cold drink touched her tongue, a slow smile spread across her face, victory tasted even sweeter tonight. She had seen Mia. She had seen the look on her face when she walked into that fitting room and saw her wearing her wedding dress. She had seen how Mia almost fell, humiliation washed over her like a wave she could barely stand against.Ruby replayed the scene in her mind with delight.Mia looked lost. Unprepared. Meanwhile, she…Ruby…had been treated like royalty. Attendants surrounding her, adjusting the gown, fussing over her makeup, speaking to her with the kind of respect Mia could never buy. They had looked at her like she was the bride, the one who deserved the spotlight, the love, the wealth.Rolex was already hers. And very soon, everything Mia once held close, her man, heven her peace, would belong to Ruby. She took another sip of wine, walked to her be

“Mia!”The sound of my name tore through the air like a blade, snapping me violently back into reality. My breath hitched and my legs froze. My heart stumbled painfully against my ribs.No.No.No.“You’ve got to be kidding me,” I whispered under my breath, but it came out more like a broken scoff. Fear crawled up my chest at the sight of him…Maxello, in the flesh. The last person I had expected to see. I turned quickly, almost slipping, and started walking away as fast as my legs could move. My pulse roared in my ears. Panic clawed at my throat.Of course he would come after me.“Mia, wait! ” He called after me. I dug into my purse with shaky hands, searching for my phone. If I could just call Rolex, just dial the damn number…I would be fine. I typed half of his name, but before the call connected, Maxello’s hand clamped around my wrist and yanked me backward so hard I gasped.I lost grip of the phone, and he snatched it before it hit the floor.“Don’t tell me you’re actually scar

Mia I winced as he applied the ointment on my hand. He didn’t meet my gaze, not even once. His jaw was tight, and his eyes were fixed on the small wound like the sight alone offended him. Why was he even angry? Had he caught me checking his phone? Was that why he suddenly turned cold? I bit down hard on my lower lip, holding back the urge to ask him directly. He kept working on my hand in silence, the kind of silence that felt heavier than shouting. “She did nothing wrong,” I finally muttered. “I insisted on cooking. It wasn’t her fault.” He still didn’t lift his eyes to look at me. That bothered me more than anything. His silence was killing me, hearing him threaten, scold, or even snap felt better than this cold wall he was building. When he was done, he closed the box and stood up without a word. He didn’t even look back at me. I quickly rose to my feet, heat burning my chest. “Why are you not saying anything?” I asked quickly as he walked away. He halted and turned, his

MiaAs I lay on the bed with my back pressed against his chest, Rolex tucked his head into the crook of my neck like he was trying to breathe me in and trap the scent inside him forever. His arm was draped lazily over my waist, but the weight of it made my heart tighten. My mind kept running in circles, stuck between telling him about the wedding invitation or keeping it buried like a shameful secret. Pretending I knew nothing would be easier, but the thoughts wouldn’t stop pushing at the back of my head even after he told me to trust him, no matter what doubts were trying to pull me away.“What are you thinking?” he murmured against my skin, his warm breath fanning over the sensitive spot of my neck.“Nothing,” I whispered. A lie…it was weak and obvious. He shifted. In one smooth movement, he rolled me onto my back and leaned over me. His eyes were half-lidded with sleep, but sharp enough to cut right through my lie.“I can tell when something is on your mind,” he said. His tone was

RolexI arrived home a little past eleven…later than I had planned.Something urgent had come up at the company, the kind of problem Kay would have handled in my place. But since he wasn’t around, I had to go myself. By the time everything was settled, frustration had already settled like a weight on my shoulders. The compound was quiet when I stepped out of the car. The kind of silence that told me the kids were already asleep. Still, I walked to each of their rooms to check on them… It eased something in me, even if only a fraction. But the moment I headed toward my room, toward where I knew Mia would be…that earlier frustration dissolved into something else entirely. That picture. The one she sent earlier…Her damp hair, my shirt hanging open on her chest, her skin glowing like she’d been made to tempt me on purpose. And the fact that she deleted it after I saw it only made it worse. It had been hours since she sent it, and I hadn’t replied. Not because I didn’t want to…but because
